Additional Persecution News from China – November 8, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Wang Guande Sentenced

Mr. Wang Guande, 78, was recently sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Jinyun County Court and transferred to the Zhejiang No. 4 Prison. He later developed high blood pressure and had a stroke as a result of being tortured and was transferred to the No. 4 Prison Hospital.

2. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Yumin's Health in Imminent Danger

Mr. Gao Yumin has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for more than 30 days. He vomited and had blood in his stool on the afternoon of November 7, 2014. He was later transferred to the No. 2 Ward of the Sheyang No. 1 Prison where he continues to be tortured.

3. [Gongan County, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Guizhi's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wu Guizhi, 61, was arrested on November 7, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts is unknown.

4. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Baozhen Forced to Leave Home

Ms. Zhang Baozhen was arrested on October 15, 2014, while accompanying her daughter-in-law to the hospital for postnatal care. She was taken to the police station and held for more than three hours. She was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution and arrests.

5. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhi Fucui Arrested

Ms. Zhi Fucui was arrested at the Duozhuang Police Station on November 7, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Li Peigao Arrested

Mr. Li Peigao was arrested and taken to the Donghua Police Station on November 7, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated all of his Shen Yun performance DVDs. Mr. Li was released at noon the same day.

7. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Seven Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhou Saiying, Mr. Jin Zigen, Mr. Song Jiafang, Ms. Mei Yuping, Ms. Li Jianyun, and Mr. Lu Hongliang are being held at the Jinyun County Xiaojun Brainwashing Center. Ms. Xu Qinglian is being held at a different brainwashing center.

8. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Song Arrested

9. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fan Yuqin Arrested

Ms. Fan Yuqin, 63, was arrested at home by officers from the Zhenxing District Domestic Security Division and the Taoyuan Police Station in Dandong City on November 5, 2014.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Lu Qing Detained

Ms. Lu Qing, 43, was arrested and taken to the Heyang Police Station on the afternoon of November 5, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from the Hechuan 610 Office later detained her for ten days.

11. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Fang Xianying, 68, and Ms. Chen Lilan, about 65, were arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Police Station on November 5, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Wu Wu, in her 50s, was also arrested the same day by officers from the Xihe Town Police Station for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

All three women are being held at the Suizhou City Detention Center.

12. [Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners in Solitary Confinement

Mr. Hsu Wenlong, Mr. Wang Lansheng and Mr. Zhang Baoquan are being held in Tailai Prison in Heilongjiang.

Mr. Hsu was put in solitary confinement in a small cell on November 6, 2014, for talking to other inmates about the persecution of Falun Gong in the No. 3 Ward.

Mr. Wang, held in the No. 2 Ward, and Mr. Zhang, in the No. 13 Ward, have been in solitary confinement since October 18, 2014.

13. [Linkou County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Jingqu Detained

Ms. Song Jingqu was arrested by officers from the Gucheng Town Police Station on November 5, 2014. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, Falun Gong books, and stamps. She is being held at the Linkou County Detention Center.
