(Minghui.org) I’m 76 years old. I began practicing Falun Gong in 1999. I used to have problems with my eyes. There was a spot in my right eye, and I had cataracts in both eyes. I also suffered from sinusitis, angina, shadows in my lungs, hepatitis, blood in my urine, a frozen shoulder, arthritis, etc.
After practicing Falun Gong, I fully recovered--even my athlete's foot was cured. I also gained so much energy. I am able to carry a 50-pound bag of rice or a gas tank to the third floor where I live. When I distribute Dafa informational materials door to door to every family in a 17-story building, I can run up and down the stairs and don’t feel a bit tired.
It’s all because I practice Falun Gong that Master purifies my body and Dafa gives me strength. Dafa also gives me wisdom. I am illiterate, but I learned how to use a computer and a printer so I can print Dafa materials myself.
One time when I was distributing Dafa materials, I didn’t have strong enough righteous thoughts and was arrested and taken to the police station. Once there, I realized my mistake and refused to cooperate. No matter what they asked, my answer remained: "Falun Dafa is good." I also would not be coerced into making or signing any "confession," so they let me go.
But it was a trap. They only pretended to let me go. Their real intention was to follow me to find out where I lived. They barged into my home and took my computer, printer, Dafa books, and a big package of Hong Yin III. Then they took me back to the police station. Under Master's protection, I finally returned home.
The 610 Office threatened my children with the loss of their jobs as a scare tactic to pressure them to force me to give up Falun Gong practice. My children locked me in the house so I could not go out to clarify the facts about Dafa. It didn’t stop me. I just said to the door: "Open up!" and the door opened. They tried changing the locks and removing the inside door handle, but all to no avail. No matter what they did, they couldn’t stop me. Who can stop a Dafa disciple who walks on a righteous path? Finally, they gave up and said, "Do whatever you want!"
Another time, I heard there was a plan to send me to a black jail, so I made my escape through my third floor window. I used the guardrails and made my way safely downstairs. I was not afraid. I held only one thought in my mind: “I’ll not let you persecute me no matter what.” I stayed away for 37 days.
When the CCP superior officers found out I had escaped from my third floor window, they sent home improvement workers over to install bars on my window. I told the workers, "I am the owner of this house. I decide if I want to install bars or not. What I say goes!” They left.
The evil Party is delusional if it thinks it can persecute us. We are disciples of Master Li Hongzhi. We walk a righteous way.
In the past 15 years, my righteous thoughts have become stronger and stronger, and my steps have become more and more solid. Every morning, I get up at 3:30 to study the Fa, do the exercises, and send forth righteous thought. During the day, I spend my time explaining the facts about Falun gong. Every night, I go to bed after sending forth righteous thought at midnight. Although I only sleep three to four hours a day, I am full of energy.
We are getting closer and closer to the end, so we need to get better and better at doing the three things Master tells us to do. We have to show our appreciation for Master’s merciful salvation and follow Master home with firm steps.
