(Minghui.org) When bakery owner Wang Haijin was released on July 22 of this year, he didn't think he'd come home alive. He had suffered unimaginable abuse, including force-feeding, beatings, sexual assault and forced labor, during a 90-day incarceration for his belief in Falun Gong, a self-cultivation practice being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.

Wang Haijin: Taken on the third day of his release
The guards at Funing County Detention Center ignored Mr. Wang when he complained about a rapid heartbeat, short of breath, edema and nausea. They didn't send him to the hospital until he couldn't eat or sleep due to his worsening condition. When doctors demanded that he be checked into the hospital for heart failure treatment, the guards dumped him at home instead.
The local police kept calling Mr. Wang to harass him after his release, causing even more mental anguish to his already fragile state. He was twice sent to the emergency room after his release.
Mr. Wang finally succumbed to heart problems. He passed away in the early morning of October 9, leaving behind his wife and two school-age daughters.
