(Minghui.org) Ms. Li Qun, in her 40s, a military academy instructor from Nanjing, was arrested in July 2013 and taken to the Nanjing Brainwashing Center in August.
Her parents are retired university professors. At the age of nearly 80, they should be enjoying their retirement, but they live in fear and are worried about their daughter.
Chain of Events
Ms. Li became an instructor in the Nanjing Military Telecommunication and Engineering Institution after getting her Master's Degree. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1996.
Ms. Li was held in a forced labor camp for a year and six months, which was extended for another six months. Tang Guofang, a brainwashing "specialist" from Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Forced Labor used intimidation and deceit to try to “transform” Ms. Li. She was pressured to work as a spy for the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division.
Ms. Li later resumed practicing Falun Gong and reported on how she was persecuted in an open letter in March 2011. The 610 Office and the police department put her on their "Wanted" list for doing that. Ms. Li had to leave home and go into hiding for more than two years. Pressured by his employer, Ms. Li's husband filed for divorce.
The Nanjing Police Department and 610 Office claimed, “As long as Li Qun turns herself in, justice will be done, and Bo Zhenghui will be investigated.” Bo Zhenghui is from the Nanjing 610 Office. He raped Ms. Li.
Most Recent Arrest
Ms. Li was arrested in July 2013 by the Nanjing Domestic Security Division. She was detained in Nanjing Detention Center for 37 days before being transferred to Nanjing Brainwashing Center.
The Nanjing Police Department and 610 Office wanted Ms. Li to agree to make a public announcement stating that Bo Zhenghui did not rape her, that they actually had an affair. They promised her that, if she did, she would be given permission to visit her daughter in the United States and be allowed to remarry her ex-husband.
Ms. Li should released immediately, no conditions.
