(Minghui.org) Four Falun Dafa practitioners from Yueyang County, Yueyang City have been illegally arrested and detained for over a month.
The police submitted evidence they made up to frame the practitioners to the procuratorate in November 2013. The procuratorate then submitted the fabricated evidence along with an indictment to the county court. The trial date was set on December 12, 2013.
Ms. Jiang Xiyuan, Mr. Xu Yuliang, Mr. Tang Minghua, and Mr. Wang Yuelai were distributing Falun Dafa fliers in Liuzhen Village, Gongtian Township, Yueyang County on October 11, 2013. Someone reported them to the police, who arrested the practitioners. The next morning agents from the Yueyang County Domestic Security Division interrogated them and incarcerated them in the county detention center.
Mr. Xu Yuliang's wife was not well and she lost her financial support after Mr. Xu was arrested. Ms. Jiang Xiyuan's family members tried to visit her at the detention center but were not allowed to, because they refused to sign the documents at the county police department. The documents were the arrest warrant and the detention warrant. In the end, Ms. Jiang's family members were forced to sign the documents because they wanted to see her. When they saw Ms. Jiang, she was emaciated due to torture and had been vomiting blood.
Mr. Wang Yuelai's family asked that he be released. The authorities demanded 70,000 yuan to let him go, but the family could only come up with 50,000 yuan. Their offer was turned down. The police then indicted Mr. Wang.
One practitioner, Ms. Wang Ping, tried to console the families of the arrested practitioners. However, agents from the Yueyang County 610 Office and the police harassed her many times, preventing her from getting to know the real situation of those arrested. Ms. Wang was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution and to alleviate the mental pressure on her husband.
