Indonesia: Introducing Falun Dafa at a Family Welfare Program (Photos)
(Minghui.org) Practitioners from the Indonesian cities of Cibubur and Depok introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) at the Family Welfare Program in Depok, West Java, on Sunday morning, January 12, 2014.
The program is a national government effort aimed at improving people's quality of life by improving their morality and health.
The program committee learned that Falun Dafa teaches people to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to better themselves and that the five exercises have a remarkable effect on improving health. This motivated them to invite practitioners to introduce Falun Dafa to the local residents.
At 6:30 a.m., dozens of local residents came out to learn the exercises.
Two practitioners demonstrated the movements at the front, and the residents followed along. Despite a short pause due to rain, they managed to finish all five of the Falun Gong exercises.
Some residents said that they felt the presence of a strong energy and expressed their desire to come again to practice. A local Family Welfare Program committee member proposed to set up a practice site in the area. Practitioners will support the new practice site on Saturday afternoons.
