(Minghui.org) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who began practicing after July 20, 1999. I know that I came to this world with a mission: to obtain the Fa and save sentient beings.
Master said:
“For those who practice cultivation among everyday persons, what type of business you are in does not matter. Regardless of how much money you have, how high your position ranks, or what kind of private enterprise or company you run, it makes no difference, as you should trade fairly and maintain a righteous mind. All professions in human society should exist. It is the human heart that is indecent, rather than one’s occupation.” (“Transformation of Karma” from Zhuan Falun)
I am self-employed and own a small beauty shop where I cultivate and clarify the truth to my clients.
Many women like to come to my shop because it helps them relax and it keeps their skin clear and beautiful. But the morality of society is sliding sharply downwards. In this industry, proprietors only seek profit and heavily promote various products such as massage items, expensive gold or silver cards and shoddy skincare products. If the clients don't accept it, the shop assistants change their attitude towards them, putting the clients in an awkward position. Some shop assistants waste their clients' products so they will buy more sooner. Now many women have stopped going to beauty shops out of fear of being cheated. Those things also took place in my shop. I thought it was normal and it could help me make money, so I ignored it.
Dafa Helped Me to Become a Good Person
Since I became a Falun Dafa practitioner, I have been in the pure environment of Dafa every day. My body, my expression and ways of thinking have changed dramatically. I no longer waste clients' products or promote products. I take good care of their skin in a professional way.
My clients regard my shop as their home. They relax and chat with me like an old friend. I don't introduce products to them unless they ask. If they fall asleep while I am taking care of their skin, I don't wake them up just to tell them their product is used up. Instead I use my own products and just let them know before they leave. They are very thankful. Some clients have left diamonds, platinum necklaces and mobile phones at my shop. I would call them and keep their items in a safe place. They were very moved.
For 30 years my eye area, cheekbones and nose were covered with brown freckles. I was annoyed by them and used all kinds of products to make them go away, but was always disappointed. I often dreamed that the freckles disappeared overnight. People often told me how beautiful I would be if I didn't have freckles, which made me feel worse. I put on layers of foundation and concealers every day.
After I got my own shop, I used more freckle-removing products. They worked when I used them, but the freckles came back when I stopped using them. Because there were hormones in the products, I grew facial hair and my skin became thinner and thinner. My beauty teacher said that freckles were caused by a blood disease and I would not recover unless all the blood in my body was changed.
A Miraculous Change In My Skin
But my skin miraculously changed after I started practicing Falun Dafa. It became fairer, more delicate, shiny and supple. The freckles faded to almost the same color as my skin. My family members and clients said that my skin had improved a lot. How miraculous it was! I am happy now. I check my every thought and action with the criteria of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and treat my friends, relatives, neighbors, clients and everyone around me kindly. They saw the beauty of Dafa through me and no longer have prejudice against Dafa, and they understand and respect it now.
I have been clarifying the truth to people in my shop for five years now. I didn't know how to tell the truth about Falun Dafa in the beginning, but I gradually learned and became more confident. I experienced ups and downs and had my joys and tears. During the process, I tried to break through and get rid of my attachments, such as seeking benefits, loneliness, grievances, and being excessively concerned about my looks. My clients were women from all walks of life. They were wealthy and sophisticated.
I chatted with my clients in a dignified way and didn't miss any chance to tell them the truth about Falun Dafa. Because I have the heart for saving people, Master has reinforced my wisdom and let me walk solidly on the path of saving sentient beings. I tried to inspire my clients' kind thoughts and told them that Gods and Buddhas are real; there are Gods and deities three meters above our heads, and that good will be rewarded and evil punished. I told them that we must be kind as human beings and that heaven is watching everything we do.
I tried to break through their notions of atheism. I often mentioned the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and told them some of the contents. I told them that they were rich this lifetime because they accumulated virtue in a past life. My clients loved to listen to me. I sent forth righteous thoughts and asked Master to strengthen me before I would talk to them about Falun Dafa. I would like to share with you three examples.
How I Clarified the Truth
One of my clients was a leader in the anti-corruption bureau. She was very kind and we often talked to each other, and I wanted to clarify the truth to her. I had been encouraging myself not be afraid and not to look at her work.
Master said:
“Saving people is just that, saving people, and to pick and choose would not be merciful.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference”)
One day we talked about Jiang Zemin and also Falun Dafa. She said, “I know that Falun Dafa people are good people being persecuted. Jiang Zemin is not good. He persecutes Falun Dafa badly.” I said to her, “Do you know about making the three withdrawals to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and it's affiliates to keep yourself safe?” She said that one of her previous colleagues had chatted with her about this over the phone. I asked her if she had quit the CCP. She said not yet. Then I asked her to withdraw from the CCP from her heart so she would be safe when catastrophe came, as heaven will eliminated the CCP because it is so evil. She agreed.
There was another client whose husband worked in the security bureau. She was stubborn but frank. She talked to me about everything. She asked me one day, “Do you know any Falun Dafa people?” I said, “What's up?” She said, “You will be rewarded 2000 yuan if you report one practitioner.” I told her that we shouldn't make money from that. My friend told me that they were good people cultivating Buddhahood, and that was their belief and they were wronged. She agreed.
Urging People to Quit the CCP
One year later she came and said something that shocked me, “I regard you as my intimate friend, and I can be easily persuaded. One sentence of yours might change my life.” After she left, I was thinking of how I could persuade her to make the three withdrawals. She was one of my original clients. Because of my fear and concerns, I hadn't told her the truth yet, and I felt sorry. I must clarify the truth to her! I must!
Another year passed. She came to my shop one day when Practitioner A was also in my shop. I asked Practitioner A to send forth righteous thoughts for me in another room. I sent forth righteous thoughts to her as well, “Completely eliminate all dark minions, rotten demons and the Communist evil spirits in this sentient being's dimension and eliminate all evil beings and factors of the CCP culture; dissolve any evils that prevent her from knowing the truth; let Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance go into her utmost microscopic level and let her know that Falun Dafa is good; let her choose a good future for herself and her family; do not allow any evil to manipulate her to commit any crime against Dafa and practitioners; Master, please strengthen me.”
I clarified the truth to her from a third person perspective. I said to her, “Last time you said that you had classes at the CCP institute. Are you a Party member?” She replies “yes.” I then said to her, “Nobody likes to join the CCP except you. I hear that many people have withdrawn from the CCP. I often receive Falun Dafa materials at home. I read all of them. What they say is really correct. The CCP is finished. Nothing we eat, drink, or buy has integrity, and prices soar faster than the market shares. The CCP is too corrupt. High officials take a bigger cut while low officials take a smaller cut, and ordinary people have to suffer.”
She agreed and said that nowadays no matter how much we earned it was not enough to cover expenses. I said that we had so many natural disasters and man-made calamities nowadays and they were punishments to the CCP. She nodded. I said to her, “People say that Falun Dafa practitioners are all good people. It was Jiang Zemin who started the persecution. It is a big sin to persecute those who cultivate Buddhahood. It is best to withdraw from the CCP organizations. That person helped me withdraw from the Youth League and Young Pioneer using the alias of Xin Fu. I agreed on the spot. I thanked her very much for risking her life by telling me those things.”
I then urged her to make the withdrawals using the same alias “Xin Fu” and said that gods and Buddhas see one's thoughts. She agreed, “Yes, I will withdraw. I knew it was not good a long time ago, but I didn't have any choice.” I asked her to tell her husband not to be involved with those things and treat Falun Dafa practitioners kindly. She said that her husband knew. He was not in charge of persecuting Falun Dafa and he didn't participate either. I said “Great.” With Master's strengthening and the other practitioner's cooperation, she was saved.
Another client worked in an office and was in her 50s. She didn't talk much when she first came to my shop. I spoke several sentences but sometimes she didn't even reply. Sometimes she fell sleep. I didn't know where I should start to tell her the truth. But I knew that Master asked me to save her and I would wait for the opportunity to come.
After she came to my shop several times, she started to chat with me about her family affairs. One day she left her new mobile phone in my shop and I kept it for her. After that, she talked to me much more. I learned that she was very rich and her son-in-law worked in the court. She suffered from insomnia. She would retire in one year. I thought she might not come to my shop after she retired. But I was not sure whether she was the kind of person who would quit the CCP as soon as I clarified the truth to her.
One day I massaged her and she said to me that my skin looked delicate and rich. I told her that I practice some special exercises. She asked what exercise. I said “Falun Dafa.” She said, “Oh, Falun Dafa. Then she nodded and asked me if my mother practiced Falun Dafa. I told her that she hadn't started yet. I said to her, “You suffer from insomnia and headaches. Please recite “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” before you go to bed. A miracle will happen.” She said that she would. She told me that she had read Zhuan Falun and it was a good book. I told her that Dafa practitioners were all good people and that the Tiananmen Immolation incident was staged and set up by Jiang Zemin's regime. I knew that she was not a Party member but she had joined the Youth League and Young Pioneers. I asked her to withdraw from those so that she would be in a secure position. She agreed. I believe that she will tell people around her of the wonderfulness of Dafa.
My practitioner daughter often reminds me, “Mom, has this lady made the three withdrawals? Has that client quit the CCP?” When I tell her that they had, she says that I am marvelous for having saved so many clients. She urges me to work harder and to not develop the attachment of complacency. I know that Master encourages me via my daughter. I say to her with a smile, “No, I will not be complacent. Master arranged predestined people to come to my shop. I must save them.”
I am very honored to be a Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period. Thank you Master for your compassion. I will cultivate myself and walk the path Master has arranged for me well and save more sentient beings.
