Additional Persecution News from China – January 3, 2014 (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested .

 

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wu Jiguo, His Wife and Sister-in-Law Arrested
2. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zeng Qingtao Detained
3. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained
4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yu Wenzhe Arrested
5. [Tianjin] Mr. Xu Zhihua Arrested
6. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhao Fuzhen and Ms. Zhao Juling Sent to Brainwashing Center

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wu Jiguo, His Wife and Sister-in-Law Arrested

Officers from the Yuanbaoshan District Domestic Security Division barged into Mr. Wu Jiguo's store and arrested him on December 30, 2013. They then went to Mr. Wu's home and arrested his wife, Ms. Sun Zhanhua, as well as his sister-in-law, Ms. Liu Yaru. They ransacked Mr. Wu's home and confiscated his desktop computer, laptop, printer and other items.

2. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zeng Qingtao Detained

Mr. Zeng Qingtao was arrested by officers from the Tongyuanbao Town Police Station on December 24, 2013. Police confiscated his computer and took Mr. Zeng to the Fengcheng City Detention Center the same day.

3. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Yan, Mr. Sun Hongcai, Ms. Liang Shumei and Ms. Fan Shihong were arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on December 27, 2013. Ms. Zhang Yan, Mr. Sun Hongcai and Ms. Liang Shumei were taken to the Meihekou City Detention Center. Ms. Fan Shihong was taken to the Liaoyuan City Detention Center.

4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yu Wenzhe Arrested

Mr. Yu Wenzhe from Nanhu, Tiedong District, was arrested by officers from the Xinxing Police Station, which is part of the Tiedong Police Department, on January 2, 2014.

5. [Tianjin] Mr. Xu Zhihua Arrested

Mr. Xu Zhihua from Huanghuadian Township, Wuqing, was arrested by agents from the Tianjin 610 Office, the Wuqing Domestic Security Division and the Huanghuadian Police Station on December 18, 2013. His home was ransacked. Mr. Xu was released that afternoon.

6. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhao Fuzhen and Ms. Zhao Juling Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhao Fuzhen and Ms. Zhao Juling were arrested on December 28, 2013. Police ransacked their homes. Both practitioners are being held in the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City.
