(Minghui.org) Local Falun Dafa practitioners set up a table outside the Osaka International Convention Center on September 22-23, 2013, where the 46th annual conference of the Japan Pharmaceutical Association was being held. The practitioners were there to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, and the brutal organ harvesting of imprisoned Falun Dafa practitioners.
Many people walked by the convention center between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Most saw the practitioners' large banner, became interested, and stopped to pick up informational fliers. Some people walked directly over to the table and signed the petition which called for an end to the persecution and the forced organ harvesting. Many people read the fliers in the morning and stopped by to sign the petition in the afternoon.
Ms. Kato, an 86-year-old pharmacist, signed the petition after learning about the persecution in China. She said that she was in China years ago, and had observed the negative changes there in recent years. She told the practitioners, “You are doing the right thing. I support you wholeheartedly. Someone has to stand up and tell the truth. I see the hope of China's future from what you are doing. I wish to see the simple and honest China I once knew.”
Mr. and Mrs. Watanabe from Moriguchi wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa after reading the informational fliers. After learning more about the persecution, they immediately signed the petition. When they were told that many Chinese people were quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, Mr. Watanabe smiled and said that he was glad that not all Chinese people were deceived by the current Chinese regime.
Mr. Yaga from Okinawa came on his own initiative to sign the petition, and gave the practitioners a bottle of tea. He said, “I knew what happened [regarding the persecution of Falun Gong] from the Internet. The Chinese regime launched an evil persecution. I support you.”
Ms. Kubo could not stop crying after hearing about the persecution and the forced organ harvesting. She said that her grandmother practiced Falun Dafa, and she knew about the persecution. She had no idea that it was so brutal and inhumane. Ms. Kubo took photos of the posters and banners and left with tears in her eyes.
