(Minghui.org) Ms. Dong Xuan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian City, was arrested outside of the courthouse on June 21, 2013, by police officers from the Dalian Domestic Security Division because she hired lawyers from Beijing to defend Falun Gong practitioners. She is now in the Pulandian Detention Center.
The Dalian City Intermediate Court held a trial for 13 Falun Gong practitioners on June 21. The court officials limited the number of attendees. As a result, most relatives and family members were denied entry and had to wait outside. Outside the courthouse, police, plainclothes police, and special agents were everywhere. They stopped and searched all passersby and arrested anyone who was identified as a Falun Gong practitioner.
Police from the Dalian Domestic Security Division searched and arrested Ms. Dong Xuan at 2:00 p.m., who was on the sidewalk across from the courthouse. The officers immediately informed the Ganjingzi District Police Department and the Hongqi Police Station to ransack Ms. Dong's home. More than ten officers broke into her home and confiscated more than 70 Dafa books, pictures of the founder of Falun Gong, pictures of the Falun emblem, three computers, one printer, over 12,000 yuan in cash, and over ten cell phones (the phones actually belonged to her husband's company). They also drove away Ms. Dong's car.
The police took Ms. Dong to the Yaojia Detention Center. Her family hired a lawyer to assist in locating her after they had exhausted all avenues trying to figure out where she was. They finally discovered that she was being held in the Yaojia Detention Center, where she was beingbrutally tortured. Jiao Jian and Chen Xin interrogated her every day. She was seriously injured both physically and mentally. She held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Her head was wounded from the torture and needed over ten stitches.
Ms. Dong Xuan has been transferred to the Pulandian Detention Center. Her elderly and ill parents have no one to take care of them, and her husband is gravely worried about her safety.
We call upon the international media and all righteous people to pay attention to Ms. Dong Xuan's case. We hope that informants will stand up and report the crimes committed by Jiao Jian and Chen Xin, expose the evil, and stop the persecution.
