Additional Persecution News from China – June 8, 2013 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 47 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Many Practitioners Arrested on Opening Day of the South Asia Expo

On the opening day of the South Asia Expo in Kunming City on June 6, 2013, a number of police officers ransacked the homes of Falun Gong practitioners, and many were arrested. On the afternoon of June 6, 2013, 28 practitioners were arrested by police, including Zhao Ligong.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners including Ms. Xiao Ying Arrested

Ms. Xiao Ying Mr. Da Bo, and practitioners from Changchun City, drove two vehicles to the Nong'an County Detention Center on the morning of June 5, 2013, along with Ms. Fu Guihua's daughter, to visit Ms. Fu Guihua who was unlawfully imprisoned there. Over ten practitioners were arrested.

3. [Linchang City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Ji Hanliang and Others Tried and Sentenced

Mr. Ji Hanliang, Ms. Ji Jianping, Ms. Zhang Shunying and Mr. Li Quanfei, were tried at the Linchang City Court on May 20, 2013. They were sentenced to prison on June 2, 2013, with Mr. Ji Hanliang sentenced to nine years, Ms. Ji Jianping to eight years and six months, Ms. Zhang Shunying to seven years, and Mr. Li Quan to three years.

4. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wang Yuqing Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuqing, from Anshun City, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Xixiu District Police Department, Anshun City while she was clarifying the truth in April 2012. Police officers searched her and found Falun Gong informational DVDs and brochures. She was released after her son bailed her out, but she was not allowed to go far from home.

Ms. Wang Yuqing was lied to by the Xixiu District Police Department, Anshun City. The officers arrested her on April 15, 2013, and took her directly to the Brainwashing Center at the Hongshan Factory.

5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Limei Arrested

Ms. Chen Limei was arrested by local police on May 20, 2013, and her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Information on Mr. Jiang Dexin and Mr. Zhai Hui's Arrest

Mr. Jiang Dexin, from Shenyang, was sentenced to six years in prison by the Shenyang City Middle Court. Mr. Zhai Hui was sentenced to four years in prison, and since he was extremely weak and could not work, he was rejected the prison authorities and taken to the Shenhe Detention Center.

7. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Xia and Ms. Liu Ying Arrested

Ms. Liu Xia and her sister Ms. Liu Ying, from Suihua City, were arrested by police officers on the night of June 6, 2013. They are being held in the Beilin District, Suihua City.

8. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Su Dexing Arrested Again

Mr. Su Dexing, from Hongwei District, Liaoyang City, was arrested on the morning of May 27, 2013 and released that night. The police including Zhao Xinlong, secretary of the Domestic Security Division of Liaoyang City, entered Mr. Su's home on June 5, 2013. Mr. Su was arrested again and taken to the Liaoyang City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Zihua and Ms. Zhou Zeying, from Macheng City, were arrested by officers from the Chengmagang Police Station, at the Wangfudian, Chengmagang Town on June 5, 2013. They are being held at the Macheng City Detention Center.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Chunrong Arrested

Mr. Zeng Chunrong, from Jianshe Road, Chenghua District, Chengdu City, was reported when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs on the morning of June 3, 2013. She is being held at the Xinjin County Brainwashing Center.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Caihong Arrested

Ms. Zhao Caihong and Ms. Liu (first name unknown), from the Acheng District, were arrested on the night of June 6, 2013 by officers from the Daling Township Police Station, Acheng District.

12. [Huan County, Gausu Province] Ms. Hu Cuiqin Arrested

Ms. Hu Cuiqin, from Huan County, Qingyang City, was arrested on June 6, 2013, and is being held at the Crime Police Division, Huan County.

13. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Information on Ms. Zhang Ziyang's Arrest

On May 27, 2013, Mr. Zhang Ziyang, from Fengcheng City, was arrested by officers from the Qianyang Police Station, Donggang City. He is being held at the Donggang City Detention Center.

14. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiuhua was arrested and is being held at the City Detention Center.

15. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] The Persecution of Mr. Fang Zhengping and His Wife

Mr. Fang Zhengping, in his 60s, from Xichang City, is being held at the No. 3 Division, No. 10 Section, Yunnan Province First Prison. Mr. Fang refused to write a guarantee statement, and his wife was tortured and forced to do high intensity labor.

Mr. Fang Zhengping lives at the No. 410 Factory, Xichang City. On October 14, 2007, he was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division, Suijiang County. He was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Suijiang County Court on December 13, 2007.

Ms. Cheng Donglan, Mr. Fang's wife, was sentenced to ten years in prison on September 14, 2013. She is being held at the Yangmahe Women's Prison, Jianyang, Sichuan Province.
