(Minghui.org) Many people are aware that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) fabricates lies in order to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The following is an example of how officers from the Politics and Law Committee of Weihe Forestry Bureau in Heilongjiang Province and the domestic security division fabricated television news to frame a Falun Gong practitioner.
The arrest of Mr. Han Xiting
Mr. Han Xiting from Heilongjiang Weihe Forestry Bureau was going to use the bathroom at around 6 a.m. on June 21, 2013, when suddenly, Wang Jingui from the Weihe Forestry Bureau Politics and Law Committee, and officers Zheng Baowei and Feng Li from the domestic security division, broke in Mr. Han's house. They told him that he needed to go with them. But Mr. Han said: “I don't want to go. I need to use the bathroom.” After Mr. Han went to the toilet, Feng took out a banner that he had brought with him and shouted, “I found a Falun Gong banner.” Then, other officers rushed forward, seized Mr. Han and took him to a police van. They ransacked his house and confiscated three copies of Zhuan Falun, copies of Master's lectures given in different conferences, Hong Yin, Master's photos and other truth clarification materials.
Mr. Han's trial and forced video-taping
At the police station Zheng Baowei pointed at the banner and asked Mr. Han: “Where did you get this? Did you put the stickers on the utility poles on Xinglin Road? I will let you go if you tell me the truth.” Mr. Han said he did not. The police threatened him and said that they would subject him to corporal punishment and then shoot him. Mr. Han said calmly, “Even if you shoot me, I will still keep firm in my belief.”
The police brought in a video recorder and tried to force Mr. Han to cooperate with them. Mr. Han said, “You've arrested me. You are committing a crime. Which law did I break by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance? When heaven eliminates the CCP, you will go with them.” The police did not listen. Mr. Han covered his face with his hands and refused to be filmed. Nevertheless, the police started videotaping and interrogated him continuously for six hours. They then took Mr. Han to the Weihe Forestry Bureau Detention Center for 10 days. Wang Hongtao, the deputy director, was responsible for the video recording.
Fabricated news broadcast
During the Weihe Forestry Bureau news broadcast on June 21, 2013, the police showcased their carefully edited video. It was accompanied by a voice-over commentary. They also used clips from an old recording of Mr. Han when he was arrested in 2002. At that time, under duress from torture and pressure from the authorities, he expressed his remorse and renounced his belief in Falun Gong. The edited video clips were used as a propaganda stunt to deceive the public and maliciously incite hatred towards the practice. Mr. Han's voice was not evident throughout the entire length of the broadcast.
Mr. Han was released from the detention center on July 1, 2013.
