Additional Persecution News from China – August 1, 2013 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yanshi County, Henan Province] Ms. Yan Qiaoju and Ms. Gao Miaoge Detained

1. [Yanshi County, Henan Province] Ms. Yan Qiaoju and Ms. Gao Miaoge Detained

Ms. Yan Qiaoju was arrested by officers from the Luoyang City 610 Office and Police Department, and the Yanshi County 610 Office and Police Station on June 28, 2013. Ms. Gao Miaoge was also arrested. They are being held in the Luoyang City Detention Center.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Changxu Arrested

Ms. Zhou Changxu was arrested at home on July 29, 2013.

3. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qu Cheng Detained

Mr. Qu Cheng, from Shulan City, is a supermarket owner in Yanji City. He was arrested by officers from the city government and sent back to Shulan City on July 30, 2013.

4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhu Ruixiang and the owner of the Jucai Supermarket were arrested in the supermarket by officers from the Lanshan District Yucailu Police Station in July 2013. They are being held in the Linyi City Detention Center.

5. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Gao Ziyun and Ms. Wang Changyu Detained

Ms. Gao Ziyun, a disabled woman, was arrested by officers from the Kaifeng Police Station when she was practicing the Falun Gong exercises in the morning.

Ms. Wang Changyu was arrested at home by officers from the Kaifeng City Police Department when she was studying Falun Gong teachings with other practitioners.

Both are being held in the Henan Province No. 3 Labor Camp.

6. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Lihua Arrested

Ms. Qu Lihua was arrested by officers Ding Yuhua, Wang Wei, Jin Haizhu from the Domestic Security Division on July 29, 2013.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Wei Detained

Mr. Li Wei was arrested at home by officers from the Changchun City Domestic Security Division and Economic Development Zone Police Station on the morning of June 2, 2013. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center.

8. [Zouping County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Hao Zifeng, his wife Ms. Li Xiulian, and Ms. Zhang Yuchun were arrested by officers from the Jiaoqiao Town Police Station. Mr. Hao was released because a health examination indicated that his physical condition did not meet the requirements of the labor camp. Ms. Li and Ms. Zhang are being held in the Binzhou Detention Center.

9. [Huinan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Fengwu Detained

Mr. Liu Fengwu was recently arrested and sent to the Meihekou Military Guesthouse. He is subject to brainwashing there.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhou Hongli Arrested

Ms. Zhou Hongli was recently arrested by officers from the Hexi District Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

11. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Kong Deping Detained

Mr. Kong Deping was arrested by officers from the Xianghe County Police Department on the morning of July 31, 2013. He is being held in the police department.

12. [Tianjin] Mr. Gao Fengyu Arrested

Mr. Gao Fengyu was arrested on his way to the office on July 31, 2013. Police officers confiscated his laptop and DVDs containing FreeGate software, a software used to breakthrough the Internet blockade and gain access to free and uncensored information in China.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Xinye Detained

Mr. Chen Xinye was transferred from the Daibei New Prisoner Prison to the Benxi Xihu Prison on July 25, 2013.

14. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Li Xinlan Arrested

Ms. Li Xinlan was arrested by police officers on July 31, 2013, while distributing information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked.

15. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Yinghua Detained

Ms. Chen Yinghua was recently arrested by officers led by Xiao Ningjian from the Nanjing City Domestic Security Division and Xiaguan Domestic Security Division. She is being held in the Nanjing City Detention Center.
