(Minghui.org) Through studying Master's "Fa Teaching at the 2013 Greater New York Area Fa Conference ," I feel that Master has taken us to another level of understanding. By discussing Shen Yun Performing Arts, Master sets the example for working on Dafa projects that save sentient beings. I think that we should all work like the performers in Shen Yun.
Master and other divine beings help the singers and dancers to perform well onstage. However, if one's skills are not fine-tuned, it will affect the quality of the program and the overall effect of saving sentient beings.
Master said,
“In doing so, I specified that we ensure the quality of the program and that the performance is perfect, that we ensure the best results, and that there are no lapses or problems at any point along the way. When we truly achieve that, the show’s influence is sure to expand.” (“Fa Teaching at the NTDTV Meeting”)
We practitioners in different projects should follow Master's direction to improve our skills and perfect our techniques, while not leaving any gaps in the process of completing the project. That way, we can maximize the effect of our truth-clarification materials and saving sentient beings.
Many practitioners are involved in projects that require technical skills such as texting with cell phones, making truth-clarification disks, and installing NTDTV satellite receivers. However, their skills are often still less than satisfactory.
For example, when using mobile phones to save sentient beings amidst the constantly changing interference from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), we need to have a high level of proficiency in anti-MMS filter and SMS blockade techniques in order to eliminate all kinds of operational failures. Some practitioners use disks and truth-clarification brochures to save beings, but the quality of the disks or printing materials may be poor and not easily read.
These requirements suggest the need for upgrading our skills. When doing projects that save sentient beings, we must remember Master's requirements for the Shen Yun performers; that is, we should upgrade our xinxing, our skills and techniques in order to maximize the effect.
I've learned a lot these past years from participating in several projects that save sentient beings, including how to operate a computer and using mobile phones to send texts. From apprenticeship to mastery level, I have always mastered the skills with Master's help before helping other practitioners. Now, I have become the main coordinator in our region due to my desire to learn and master the required skills and techniques. The following are some of my understandings.
1. We must be earnest. When working on Dafa projects, Master has instructed us to learn from the Shen Yun performers. We must possess superb techniques to achieve excellent results.
Becoming successful in everyday society also requires earnestness. “Being earnest” means that we are serious about what we do and are constantly trying to refine our skills. This requires sacrifice and persistence. When we have this in mind, Master and divine beings will help us.
2. Strengthen our skills required for the project. We need to constantly study and keep up with new developments in our field and put them to use. We also have to learn from practitioners and other people and be humble.
May we all find ways to improve our skills and become qualified "performers" in our projects to save more sentient beings.
