My wife and brother are Falun Dafa practitioners. I often read Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials and I know many people are afraid of learning about Falun Gong due to the CCP's propaganda and their fear of the CCP. I want to share my experience to help people understand Falun Gong better.
I learned about Falun Gong when my wife started to study and cultivate her mind and body through the practice. Before she started to practice Falun Gong, she had many illnesses that included a stomach illness, cholecystitis, headaches (she often used needle bloodletting to relieve headaches) and serious liver disease. Every day after I returned home from work, the cooking, laundry and care of our two young children became my chores. Looking at my wife's pain due to the torture of the illnesses, I really did not know how long my family could go on like this and I was very frustrated.
When the villagers saw that my wife was severely ill and encouraged her to practice Falun Gong, I did not believe it could cure her illnesses. I said, “Even the hospital could not cure her illnesses. If practicing Falun Gong can cure it, why do we need hospitals?”
But the facts convinced me. After my wife started to practice Falun Gong, her illnesses disappeared. Our family that suffered so much finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel, which I never dared to imagine before.
I often heard from the elderly the saying, “A drop received in need should be repaid with a whole river.” When I heard that Master Li saved over a hundred million people and did not ask for anything at all, I thought to myself, “Dafa cured my wife's illnesses. I need to thank Master Li. If I have a chance to see Master Li and he does not take any money from me, what should I do to repay him? I could kowtow to him and thank him many times. That would bring a little comfort to my heart for Master's salvation of my wife.”
We had a happy life for a few years after that, but after July 20, 1999, the disastrous hooligan Jiang Zemin started to ruthlessly persecute Falun Gong. By instigating the persecution, all levels of the CCP's organizations and governments, especially the police department and police station, came to our village to harass the practitioners once every few days. One year before the Chinese New Year, the police came to our village and arrested practitioners everywhere, including a woman who was over 80 years old, and teenage children. The police deceived them that it was to attend some meeting, but actually all the practitioners were sent to the detention center. They arrested over 20 practitioners just in our small area. After that, they required the practitioners' family members to pay money to bail the practitioners out. Although I did not know too much about the law, I knew the police should punish criminals and protect good people. I thought, “I cannot give money to the police. My wife practiced Falun Gong to get rid of illnesses and have a healthy body. She wanted to be a good person and did not break any law. Why should I give money to the police?” I came to the local government and requested that they release my wife. The government official said whoever pays 2,000 yuan can take the practitioner home. I said, “I do not have any money. Please tell me which law my wife broke by practicing Falun Gong? Before practicing Falun Gong, my wife had many illnesses. After practicing Falun Gong, her illnesses were all cured. She could do all the housework again, yet now you have arrested her. How dare you ask me to pay money? Release my wife as soon as possible. Otherwise if she gets sick again, I won't be easy on you.” Soon after that they actually released my wife.
My home sat across the street from the village party secretary’s home. As soon as the township government and the police station sent officials to my village, I immediately knew it. For a while, the police often came to the village to harass the practitioners. As soon as I saw them, I immediately notified the practitioners in the village. In the Spring of 2000, I went to another village to grind rice. On my way back home, I saw a group of people standing by the road. My wife and I told them the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. Right after we returned home, I saw the township CCP politics and law committee party secretary arriving at the village party secretary’s home. I wanted to tell him the truth about Falun Gong, so I also went to the party secretary’s home. As soon as he saw me, he said, “I heard you went to other villages to talk about Falun Gong and said the practitioners did not use fertilizer on their crops, yet they harvested better crops.” I said, “I did not say that. Many practitioners in my village used to have many illnesses. Some of them almost died due to illness. But their illnesses were all cured after practicing Falun Gong. I witnessed that myself. After they learned Falun Gong, they did many good things. They always think of others first while doing things. They found bicycles for the children who could not afford to go to school. And they voluntarily returned the extra land they took before.”
“One winter a heavy snow blocked the road from the village to the town. No one could drive their vehicles out of the village. Not only couldn't the people who need to go out for business not leave, but the vehicles transporting crops could not get out of the village either. The village party secretary became very anxious. He shouted in the village loudspeaker broadcast, 'The snow blocked the road. All party members please come out to clean the snow.' He shouted for a while and did not see any party members come out at all. However, the practitioners in the village also heard him and helped to remove the snow. Over 20 practitioners, including a 70-year-old and a teenager, came out to clean the road. Soon they cleaned over 1.5 kilometers of road and the crop transportation vehicles finally drove out of the village. The party secretary was very touched and said, 'When our village gets rich, I will build a house for your practitioners to practice Falun Gong.' In addition, the practitioners also cleaned the road all the way to the school in order to allow the students to go to school. The students and their parents were also very touched.”
I continued, “The bridge on the east side of the village is the only way out to the east for our village. There is another bridge on the west side of the village nearly a kilometer away, which is also the only path to the farmed land. Both bridges collapsed due to lack of repairs for too many years. If the bridges were not fixed, the villagers could not go to the farmland at all. Over 20 practitioners of the village used two four-wheeled vehicles to remove the stones and sand, shovel by shovel, until finally the two bridges were fixed. Why didn't your CCP party members do it? By then, your upper level cadres did not even ask about repairing the bridges.” The CCP politics and law committee party secretary immediately said, “Please don't talk anymore. Please go home as soon as possible.” I told him that I hadn't finished yet. He said, “The officials from the county will be here soon. You should go now.” I knew he was just trying to scare me off.
In 2001, a few practitioners from my village were arrested by police while passing out truth-clarifying materials. After I heard about it, I went to the county CCP Political and Legal Affairs Committee. The officials asked why I came. I said I came to ask them to release the practitioners from our village. One official said there was no way they could do that. I said, “The practitioners are all good people. You do not arrest any criminals, but only arrest good people who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I also heard you tortured practitioners and pricked needles into a child's fingers (a 16-year-old practitioner was also arrested).” He said, “Who told you?” I said, “I heard from the criminal prisoners who were just released.” He said, “If you did not see it, it is not true.” I said, “Then you should at least let me tell you what I did see. I saw a practitioner who had just returned home after he finished planting the rice seedlings on the farm. He was getting cleaned up after a hard day of work in the field. Your police and township officials suddenly broke into his home and arrested him. You did not even let him get dressed. You beat him and dragged him so hard that we could hear all the commotion from 30 meters away. You said I did not witness any torture in the prison, but isn't it true that you beat the practitioners? Didn't you break the law? Practitioners only do good things. They repaired the bridges and the roads. Which law did they break?” They could not say a word. In the end they said the leader was not in, meaning they could not make a decision. Then I went to the politics and security section of the county police department. I found the head of the section and told him the facts about Falun Gong too. He could not argue with me either and left me alone in the office.
My older brother also practiced Falun Gong. Once he was also arrested by the CCP and sentenced to one year of forced labor. I immediately went to rescue him. I first went to the justice bureau. I told the officials what Falun Gong is and that Falun Gong teaches people to be good persons following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practitioners only do good things for people and society. Then I told them how the practitioners in my village do good things and help others. They listened sincerely. After I finished, they told me to check out a detention center. I went to the detention center and told them how good Falun Gong practitioners are. They asked me to check all the teams in the detention center. But I still could not find my brother. Then they told me to check with the Political and Legal Affairs Committee. The officials there told me to ask the 610 Office. I went to the 610 Office and only saw two officials inside. I asked them why they arrested my brother since he did not break any law. Then I repeated the story about how the practitioners benefited society. I told them, “No party members in the village helped to repair the bridges and the road. Only when there is a bonus will the party members go for it.” I also talked about the Wenchuan earthquake. The practitioners' financial situation was very difficult due to the CCP's persecution. But they either donated 50 Yuan or 100 Yuan. All the party members are richer than than the practitioners, but the party members only donated 10 to 20 Yuan. These are all facts.”
While I was clarifying the truth, a leader named Li came in the room. He asked me what my brother did and how he was arrested. I told him again about how the practitioners do good things and are good people. He said, “It appears that you are a practitioner.” I said, “Thank you. You really speak highly of me. The practitioners follow a high moral standard. Unfortunately I could not achieve that. The practitioners do not smoke or drink and do not do bad things. But I not only smoke and drink, but also often bargain for my own advantage when possible. If you don't believe me, you don't need to investigate. I have a pipe cigarette with me. Let me smoke a pipe to show you.” They saw I brought up the pipe cigarette and said immediately, “There is no need. You can check at the police station.” Then he left. I went to the police station he mentioned and clarified the truth to the officials again. They told me that my brother was detained at a prison to the north. After I arrived at the prison, the officials had already left work. So although I did not see my brother that day, I clarified the truth to the police and officials for a whole day.
It is strange that although the persecution of Falun Gong is still happening, more and more people from our village started to cultivate Falun Gong. The practitioners resumed practicing the exercises. Every day they gathered together to study Dafa books. The personnel from the CCP Political and Legal Affairs Committee and 610 Office did not dare to harass the practitioners in the village anymore. Last year, a few elderly practitioners posted truth-clarifying banners on the door of the township government building. The party secretary who was appointed recently asked the police to arrest the practitioners. The elderly practitioner then told the police how the practitioners followed the Dafa principles to be good people. They also sang songs written by Dafa practitioners to the police. It happened to be the spring farming season. Many people came to listen. So even before I requested the release of the practitioners, the village party secretary and the village head had already returned the practitioners.
Although I haven't started to practice Falun Gong yet, I watch the NTD television programs and read Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. I have a deeper understanding of Falun Gong and also know the evil CCP's inglorious history, how it started, its evil nature, how it relies on lies to deceive the public, as well as the reasons it's doomed to perish. In addition, I have a clear understanding of the tragic endings of the people who do not withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations. Right now when I go to work, visit relatives, or wherever I go, I always tell people that Falun Dafa is good, Falun Gong practitioners are all good people and the CCP is evil. I tell people these very important things so they can choose a bright future rather than follow the evil CCP and be eliminated.
