(Minghui.org) Officers from the Hutian Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Chen Kaiyu at home. Her family went to appeal for her release several times. But officers deceived them, took her into custody in front of them, and transferred her from one place to another without disclosing her location. Ms. Chen is now in the Huaihua No. 2 Detention Center and facing trial.

Ms. Chen is in her 50s and lives in the Hecheng District of Huaihua City. Hutian Police Station officers broke into her home on October 20, 2012. They ransacked it; confiscated her computer, printer, cash, books, etc.; and took her to the Huaihua Detention Center the same day.

Her family and friends heard about her arrest and went to the detention center to ask for her release. Police said that she would be released in a few days. On the specified day, her family and friends went to the detention center in the early morning and waited for Ms. Chen's release. When she appeared, officers kept everyone away except for her husband.

The officers lied to her husband and threatened him, then said that they would just take her to the police department for some questioning. Her husband watched them put her into a police car.

Days passed, but Ms. Chen never came home. Her family and friends did not know if she was ever questioned in the police department or where she was. Her family looked for her at the police department and police station many times. Officers in the Hutian Police Station only mentioned she was imprisoned nearby.

A source said that she was taken to the Huaihua Brainwashing Center from the detention center. After being held there for some time, she was taken to the Huaihua No. 2 Detention Center.

It was finally confirmed two months later that she was detained at the Huaihua No. 2 Detention Center and her arrest was approved in November 2012.

The Hecheng District Procuratorate has filed charges against Ms. Chen. The case is in the Hecheng District Court.
