(Minghui.org) I started suffering from an unusual illness in 1995. It turned all my muscles weak. I became frail and vulnerable to sickness. I had difficulty breathing sometimes because my heart muscles seemed like they were paralyzed. I would pass out due to lack of oxygen. After battling this strange illness, I felt my hope diminishing. I felt like a burden to my family. I wanted to stop medical treatment and end my life.

I was fortunate to start practicing Falun Gong in July 1997. It was Teacher Li Hongzhi who gave me a second lease on life and restored my health. Falun Gong has also purified my soul. I used to be selfish. I had difficulty trusting people and had problems getting along with others. Now I have become positive, cheerful and easy to get along with. I have felt so much joy from practicing Falun Gong. It is the type of joy that only genuine cultivators can relate to. It is beyond words.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to suppress Falun Gong in July 1999. At the time, I was so anxious that I felt like I would explode. I didn't know what to do at first, but I swore I would persevere in my faith in Teacher no matter how much pressure I was subjected to. I decided to prove to the world that Falun Gong is good. Over these past several years, I have weathered many storms and persevered to this day.

Teacher is always beside me, watching over me and guiding me in my cultivation. Teacher gave me confidence when I faced obstacles, showed me the way when I was lost, and saved me from harm when I faced danger. Below are just some of my experiences.

The Miracles of Falun Gong

Just a few days after I started practicing Falun Gong, I was half asleep one night when I saw Teacher ordering many people to fix my body as though plumbers were repairing and replacing pipes. I felt like a new person the next day. I became completely healthy. My miraculous health transformation caused a local sensation.

Teacher is always protecting me when I do the three things. One day, several fellow Falun Gong practitioners and I traveled by car to a rural area in the neighboring county to distribute materials containing important facts about Falun Gong. I had just learned to drive and had no experience driving long distances. All my passengers were female practitioners who did not drive. We had close encounters with danger many times on the way there. By the time we were almost finished with our task, it was already dark outside. We had just started driving home when we saw a police car with its siren on driving towards us. We were not sure if the police were coming for us or not, but we told each other to send forth righteous thoughts in order to prevent the police from obstructing us from doing what we planned to do. The police car drove right past us. We made it home safely. We later learned that someone had reported us to the police. We escaped danger because of Teacher's protection.

One time I went out at night during winter to distribute Falun Gong materials. There was a thick sheet of ice on the road. I chose a pair of comfortable shoes without much traction, yet I did not fall even once. It was snowing the next morning when I was about to go out. The road was slippery, so I decided to wear the same shoes I had worn the previous night. Yet the road was so slippery that I could hardly stand. I nearly fell several times. I was very confused. What happened to the traction of the shoes? Then it suddenly dawned on me that Teacher added traction to the shoes last night so that I could distribute the materials safely.

One day a fellow practitioner, Aiying (pseudonym), was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and was detained in a detention center in a neighboring county. Several practitioners and I drove to the neighboring county. We wanted to visit Jing (pseudonym), a fellow practitioner and a local resident there, for information about Aiying. I didn't want to park in front of Jing 's home for the sake of security. Yet fellow practitioners said it was okay and insisted that I park closer for convenience. I grudgingly obliged. Once there, we found several practitioners already waiting because they wanted to know the update about Aiying. Yet it turned out no one had any new information. I decided to go visit a relative who worked at the county police department for information. I left Jing's home shortly after my arrival.

After I got the information I needed, I went back to Jing's home. I decided that I mustn’t park in front of her home this time, especially when I noticed a car that looked suspicious to me. I shared what I had learned with everyone. We discussed the situation and decided that we needed to speak with Aiying's family. We decided to call Aiying's family that evening.

On our way home, a cat suddenly ran over from the right and hit our car at high speed. It was a most curious thing. When we were almost back in town, it suddenly dawned on me that "cat hit door" in Chinese sounds like "don't knock on door," which means "do not visit."

A fellow practitioner disagreed, yet I had a strong hunch that we mustn't go. I managed to persuade them not to go. Then we found out that the police had staked out near Aiying's and Jing's homes. Fortunately I moved my car quickly before the police took down my license plate. We were spared possible arrest because we didn't call on Aiying's family that evening. However, several of the practitioners we had met at Jing's home ended up being arrested in the next few days. I knew it was Teacher that saved us from danger.
