(Minghui.org) Ms. Jiang Zhujun is the daughter of Mr. Jiang Zonglin, formerly the director of Mingyuan Institute of Architectural Design in Chengdu City. Mr. Jiang was not released on October 15, 2012, after a five-year term of imprisonment ended. Instead, officials from the Jinniu District 610 Office took him to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. His wife, Ms. Xie Chengxin, and their daughter, Ms. Jiang Zhujun, along with their relatives and friends, went to the brainwashing center to seek his release in the afternoon on December 22, 2012. Director Yin Shunyao ordered brainwashing center officials to arrest his wife and daughter.

Ms. Xie was released, but Mr. Jiang and Ms. Jiang are still being detained. According to reports, Ms. Jiang has been brutally tortured at the brainwashing center.

Ms. Xie and Ms. Jiang briefly visited with Mr. Jiang at the detention center on December 22, 2012. They were later detained by brainwashing center officials and police officers from the Jinniu District 610 Office and the Fuqing Police Station.

When Ms. Xie was separated from Ms. Jiang, she saw two guards push her daughter down.

Ms. Xie saw Ms. Jiang briefly three times at the brainwashing center before she was released. The first time they saw each other, Ms. Jiang couldn't stop crying. Ms. Xie noticed that her daughter's lips were blue. When she asked about it, the person assigned to monitor Ms. Jiang said, “She hasn't eaten for many days, so of course her lips are blue.” Ms. Jiang assumed that she was on a hunger strike.

The second time Ms. Xie saw her daughter, she noticed that it was hard for Ms. Jiang to turn her neck, that it looked stiff. It was very likely that she had been subjected to torture because of the hunger strike. Ms. Xie ate with her daughter on Chinese New Year's Eve, February 9, 2013. Perhaps at that time, Ms. Jiang had given up the hunger strike.

Ms. Xie was released on March 4, 2013. A few days before, she saw her daughter for the last time. Ms. Jiang told her mother that she had been subjected to the same type of torture as Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhan Min.

According to reports on the Minghui website, Ms. Zhan endured mental and physical torture including being tied to a death bed, force-feeding, and forced injections of unknown drugs. Her hands, feet, and legs were tied to a wooden bed. A plastic tube was put in her nose that went to the stomach, and a catheter was inserted in her bladder. For several days straight, she was force-fed and administered IV fluids containing unknown drugs. As a result, Ms. Zhan's physical health declined rapidly and she became delirious.

Tortures Ms. Zhan Endured

Ms. Zhan is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xinjin County, Chengdu City. She has been repeatedly arrested by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials and brutally tortured. She is now in the Chengdu City Detention Center. Ms. Zhan went through eight months of intense brainwashing between April 28 and December 29, 2004.

To protest the persecution, Ms. Zhan went on a hunger strike at the brainwashing center. She was detained in a small cell and watched by guards Wang Xueqin and Zhou Qin around the clock. She was not allowed to close her eyes or sleep. The guards tried to force her to remain in a standing position.

Four days into the hunger strike, Yin Shunyao, head of the political education section, was assigned by the director of the brainwashing center to personally oversee the force-feeding. Yin supervised the first round of force-feeding and drug administration. The brainwashing center doctor, Zhou Qin, and doctor Zhang, along with guard Wang Xueqin and others, were present.

Ms. Zhan was tied to a wooden bed by her feet, legs, and hands so that she couldn't move. A urinary catheter was inserted and a plastic tube was put through her nose into her stomach. The tube was fixed in place and never taken out so the guards could force-feed her any time they wanted to. Ms. Zhan was force-fed and given unknown drugs for several days.

Ms. Zhan became extremely weak after just a few days, and had pain in her liver. The brainwashing center officials instructed Zhou Qin to get medical personnel from the Huaqiao Township Hospital to draw a blood sample from her and do medical tests. Ms. Zhan was diagnosed with Hepatitis B. Ms. Zhan was perfectly healthy when she arrived at the brainwashing center. In just a few days, she had become very ill as a result of the brutal and cruel force-feeding.

Brainwashing center officials nonetheless refused to release her. They instead started a second round of force-feeding only a few days after the first round ended. They used the same method and tied and stretched her body to a bed. A tube for force-feeding and a urinary catheter were inserted. A third round followed. The drugs given to Ms. Zhan through the IV were unknown, and her health subsequently declined rapidly and she eventually became delirious.

Forced Brainwashing

All of the Falun Gong practitioners detained at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center are held in the same six-story building. Each practitioner is confined to a separate cell, and the doors are locked all day. Two guards who have been through brainwashing training are assigned to monitor each practitioner. The practitioners are accompanied and watched even when they use the bathroom at night.

Brainwashing center rules prohibit Falun Gong practitioners from doing the exercises, reciting the contents of Dafa books and articles, talking with other practitioners, and clarifying the truth about Dafa. Each day, videos slandering Falun Dafa and the founder of Falun Gong are played for several hours. Practitioners are forced to watch in the morning and afternoon. Anyone who violates the rules is subjected to brutal torture. Some practitioners have become mentally incapacitated due to the intense brainwashing, and some have died as a result of the torture.

Xinjin Brainwashing Center is the largest facility for persecuting practitioners in the Chengdu region. During July and August 2004, many “experts” in the field of persecuting and “transforming” Falun Gong practitioners were transferred to the brainwashing center from outside of the region. They took turns torturing practitioners around the clock.

Ms. Zhan was mostly bedridden by that time. The guards often waited until late at night when she was mentally exhausted, to force her to “transform.” When nothing worked, they took her off the bed and put her in a chair. They attempted to hold a pen in her hand and write a guarantee statement stroke by stroke. The piece of paper was laid out on the desk beforehand. In order to “transform” Falun Gong practitioners, the brainwashing center officials and guards use every trick and method they can think of.

Falun Gong practitioners are able to adhere to their beliefs in the face of death because they truly make progress and ascend to higher levels. They become rational during the course of cultivation practice. Having realized the truth and meaning of life, they know exactly what they are doing. They have experienced the wonder of practicing Falun Dafa. They do not yield to power, are not afraid of torture, and exercise their lawful rights peacefully and rationally. People who know the truth about Falun Gong are touched by the high moral standards and pure spiritual state of practitioners. Practitioners have gained their admiration and respect. However, this is exactly the excuse that the CCP officials have used to justify the persecution and their attempts to “transform” practitioners. What kind of society does this?

It has been a month since Ms. Xie was released from Xinjin Brainwashing Center. Who knows what types of torture Ms. Jiang has been subjected to over the past month since her mother's release?

Mr. Jiang, in his 60s, was incarcerated in Deyang Prison for five years. What types of torture has he been subjected to during her detainment at the brainwashing center? When his family saw him not long ago, he was very weak. How much longer can he last under such brutal torture? The current condition of both Ms. Jiang Zhujun and her father are very worrisome!
