(Minghui.org) I was deeply shocked after reading the Minghui editorial “Spreading and Reading Fake Teachings Disrupts the Fa,” especially Master's comment “Whoever Does Evil Bears the Burden.” I have never seen such a serious comment from Master before, and it shows just how sinful it is to circulate and read fake Fa-teachings! Master is so grieved and worried when disciples let him down like this!
When I started cultivation in Dafa I always felt that I was very serious and diligent in doing the three things expected of practitioners. I never realized that, hidden deep in my soul, was an attachment to self-validation.
I was born into a family that has believed in Buddhism for generations, and my ancestors all meditated. I also experienced miracles in my childhood. All this left a deep impression on me. As I grew older, and especially after I started to practice Falun Dafa, my family members and I experienced many miraculous things. As a result, I developed a very strong attachment to having an unduly high opinion of myself. My fellow practitioners did not see it very clearly, but the evil beings in other dimensions saw it and took advantage of this loophole.
In the summer of 2010, a practitioner whom I had not talked to for over ten years suddenly called to arrange a visit. That day he arrived with another veteran practitioner. This practitioner immediately took out the so-called “Easter Fa-teaching” and said, “This is not something that everybody can see. This special Fa-teaching is only meant for those who have predestined relationships.” When I first heard this, a thought flashed through my mind: "Could it be fake? How come this Fa teaching was not published on the Minghui website?" However, I firmly held onto my attachment that I was someone special, and this got in the way of my knowing side. I did not think more about it and started to read the fake Fa-teaching eagerly, which was obviously a huge mistake.
I later read “Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website’s Founding.” When a practitioner from Europe asked, “Could the Clearharmony website publish Master's writings? Or should it just remain Minghui that does so?” Master answered,
“I only publish them on Minghui because doing that helps to maintain its credibility. Other sites run by Dafa disciples and meant for our own community can republish them, and it will help guard against those fake sites that cause trouble.”
I immediately realized my mistake and burned the fake Fa-teaching. Even though it had been a while since I had read it, I broke out in a cold sweat and felt a sense of shock after reading the article and Master's comment. I felt very uneasy and it made my flesh crawl to realize that it was an act of disrupting the Fa to read “Fa-teachings” not published on the Minghui website! Master said, “Whoever does evil bears the burden.” I felt ashamed and very distressed, thinking it was too late to repent! I was not worthy of Master's painstaking salvation, nor worthy of the title of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple!
This was a very big lesson for me, from which I once again understood that cultivation is a very serious matter, and we must not act at will or rashly. We must do everything according to Master's requirements at all times. I'm exposing my attachment and sharing my bitter lesson in the hope that fellow practitioners who read this can learn from my experience so that they do not make similar mistakes.
Let us all calmly look inward and check what human attachments we still hold onto that need to be let go of.
