Mr. Zhang Chun is in his 30s, and his legs were disabled. He needed crutches in the past. He rented out the new apartment he was compensated with after his old house was demolished, then used the rent money to buy equipment and paper to produce materials telling how wonderful Falun Dafa is and exposing the Communist Party's lies.
Mr. Zhang strictly follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. When his neighbors come to ask for his help, he never hesitates. Mr. Zhang is warmhearted, optimistic, and honest, which impresses his acquaintances and makes people see how wonderful Falun Dafa is.
One day, their newly renovated roof was damaged by water from the upstairs household. Mr. Zhang thought that, as a practitioner, he should follow Master's words and be considerate of others. He didn't blame the people upstairs and returned the compensation from the insurance company.
The Party, however, had him followed, and the police surreptitiously took pictures of him. He was arrested and his home was ransacked.
At the beginning of April 2013, domestic security officers from the Shijingshan District in Beijing barged into Mr. Zhang's home and arrested him. Their excuse was that he had started to practice Falun Gong a year ago and had spoken out for the practice.
Mr. Zhang is now in the Shijingshan Detention Center. His parents are worried sick. His girlfriend, who is not a practitioner, was also held for 24 hours.
