(Minghui.org) May 13, 2013, marks the 14th anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day and the 21st anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa practitioners in communities across Canada will celebrate Falun Dafa Day with parades and free public traditional Chinese dancing and singing performances. On this occasion, Mr. Jim Watson, Mayor of Capital City of Ottawa, Canada, proclaimed May 13, 2013 as Falun Dafa Day in Ottawa.
Falun Dafa Day May 13th, 2013
Whereas , Falun Dafa practitioners follow the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance and incorporate them into their daily lives, striving to become better people in all environments and situations; and
Whereas , Falun Dafa practitioners in Ottawa and worldwide are joyously celebrating the 21st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction to the public during May 2013; and
Whereas , transcending the racial and cultural boundaries, Falun Dafa embraces people of all ages, from all walks of life and religious affiliations; and
Whereas , Falun Dafa practitioners and citizens in Ottawa will celebrate Falun Dafa Day with dancing, singing and musical band performances and other festivals;
Therefore , I, Jim Watson, Mayor of City of Ottawa, do hereby proclaim May 13th, 2013 as Falun Dafa Day in Ottawa.
