(Minghui.org) In an article titled "Jailed for Practicing Falun Gong," Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qu Lihau from Mudanjiang talked about her arrest, imprisonment, and being forced into homelessness for 10 years by the Chinese Communist regime. In another article written in 2005, "The Fa-rectification Path that My Husband and I Have Been Through," Ms. Liu Nan described the persecution that she and her husband endured and how they exposed the evil deeds committed by police from the public security bureau and the domestic security division.

Ms. Liu Nan and Her Husband Mr. Zhao Jingchun Detained for Four Months

Ms. Liu Nan and her husband, Mr. Zhao Jingchun, were arrested on November 2, 2012. They have now been detained for over four months. In order to further frame them, the police have reported them to the procurator's office.

Ms. Liu, 40, and her husband Mr. Zhao, 41, started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. Both of them have greatly benefited from the practice. Mr. Zhao was arrested on July 20, 1999, and was held by the police until December 25, 1999. He was once forced to make an appearance on TV to slander Falun Gong by saying things that went against his conscience and was twice sent to a forced labor camp. Ms. Liu was arrested and transferred to a drug rehabilitation center, where she was pressured to “transform” while in a forced labor camp.

Ms. Liu's article described the persecution that she and her husband suffered. The article also exposed the evil deeds committed by police officers from the public security bureau and the domestic security division. Ms. Liu described the torture and terror she endured in the Aimin Public Security Bureau:

“Five officers were sent from Aimin Public Security Bureau. One of them called himself a captain. Another was 'Wang.' There was a tall, middle-aged man; a vicious-looking driver; and a younger man. When they came in, the driver punched me twice in the chest so hard that I fell back against the wall. When the captain asked my name and address, I refused to answer. They took me from the patrol department to the Aimin Public Security Bureau and put me in a room that looked like a duty room that had two beds and a desk. It was 8 p.m. No one else was in the building. When the five entered, they locked the door behind them and circled me. Their faces were grim and fierce. The atmosphere in the room filled with evil and terror. One said, 'You must believe that nothing will happen to us even if we beat you to death.'

“They kept demanding that I tell them my name and address. I remained silent. They then forced my legs apart and pushed me down. This position caused me so much pain that I shivered uncontrollably. They called this 'flying the plane.' One of the officers who sat on a bed shouted, 'Squat down, and don't move!' The pain was so terrible that I almost collapsed. He grabbed a pillow from the bed and tossed it at my back. I was in so much pain it felt as if my blood vessels were about to burst. Another officer kicked my legs violently to stretch them until I couldn't spread them any wider. I thought my tendons would tear. The men were so evil that I decided not to obey their orders anymore. I stopped squatting, laid down on the floor, and rubbed my legs. Being afraid, the police who had kicked me took two steps back when he saw me sitting there. He must have felt guilty for his misdeeds.”

Ms. Qu Lihua Repeatedly Persecuted for Exposing the Evil

Ms. Qu, 49, lived on a farm in Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province. After the Chinese Communist regime started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the leaders of the agricultural department told her to take a stand against Falun Gong. Without hesitation, Ms. Qu chose to continue the practice. For this, she was fired and arrested. Her house was also ransacked.

On July 20, 1999, Ms. Qu went to the provincial government to appeal for Falun Gong. She was quickly arrested. Her company terminated her employment for three months.

In the end of 2000, Ms. Qu was asked by her supervisors Wang Jinwan and Yi Hongkui if she still would practice Falun Gong. When she said “Yes,” she was fired, and her pension was canceled. She was later taken to the Hailin Detention Center.

In the detention center, she was handcuffed and shackled by Zhao Fuping and Li Guobin, the police officers who beat her with plastic pipes. She was later transferred to Harbin Women's Drug Rehabilitation Center, where she was held for a year.

In November 2001, Ms. Qu was released from the center. Police officers Wang Qiang, Zhou Xuesheng, and Zhao Jie repeatedly went to her house to harass her. Three months later, Ms. Qu was again arrested and taken to Hailin Detention Center by the 610 Office under Zhang Zhenqi, director, and Wu Wei, a police officer.

In the detention center, Ms. Qu was kicked in the head by the director Dan Chengqiang. Ms. Qu protested by going on a hunger strike. An armed police officer used a large wooden stick to help force-feed her. During force-feeding, the prison doctor pushed her against a chair, handcuffed her hands behind her back, and told two inmates to hold her shoulders tightly so that she couldn't move. The doctor then pinched her nose and stuck an expander against her teeth, causing excruciating pain.
