(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Guo Ning and Other Practitioners Detained

Police from the Dadongmen Police Station arrested eight practitioners, including Mr. Guo Ning, who were going to do the exercises in Xiafang Park on March 22, 2013. That evening, Mr. Guo and two other male practitioners were taken to a detention center in Dadong District. All the female practitioners were taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center.

2. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yajuan Detained

Ms. Wang Yajuan is being held in the No. 3 Changchun Detention Center.

3. [Gaizhou, Liaoning Province] Wang Ying, Cheng Yankai and Li Xingjun Sentenced to Prison

Gaizhou Court officials handed Ms. Wang Ying a four-year prison term. Mr. Cheng Yankai and Mr. Li Xingjun were each given a three-and-a-half-year prison term on January 29, 2013.

4. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners in Xidayingzi Forced Labor Camp On a Hunger Strike

Falun Gong practitioners detained in Xidayingzi Forced Labor Camp are on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. They include Mr. Li Ziming (from Hebei Province), Mr. An Xuehe (from Tianjin), Mr. Wang Baoquan (from Sanhe, Hebei Province), Mr. Liu Yanwu (from Henan Province), Mr. Wang Ziwei (from Tianjin), Mr. Hu Zhijun (from Hebei Province), Mr. Guo Longbin (from Heilongjiang Province), and Mr. Wu Ye (from Heilongjiang Province).

5. [Beijing] Zhang Yumin Died as a Result of Persecution in Detention

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Yuming from Beijing was detained in Beijing Detention Center and Qianjin Prison for three and a half years. Due to the mistreatment, he became very weak, and passed three months after he returned home. Before his death, his abdomen hurt a lot.

7. [Liaocheng, Shandong Province] Zhao Shie Detained

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Shie from Dongchangfu District was arrested by police from the Yansi Police Station in Zhulaozhuang on March 23, 2013. She was sent to the Liaocheng Detention Center.

8. [Beijing] Sun Shulan Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Zhulan from No. 1 Street, Chengguan Town, Miyun County was arrested on March 22, 2013, when she was hanging a banner. Her home was ransacked.

9. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Jiang Xiuying and Others Detained

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Xiue, Ms. Gui, and Ms. Cao were talking to people about Falun Gong near an army base on March 24, 2013, when they were arrested and sent to the No.1 Detention Center in Etouwan.
