(Minghui.org) Recently I've noticed a few problems with practitioners' mentality toward experience-sharing at gatherings, and I'd like to point it out so that we may all look inside and improve.

For some practitioners who frequently organize experience sharing conferences, the sharing conference has become a symbol of an integrated “whole body.” Some practitioners will go elsewhere to “learn” from others' conferences. After coming back, they often complain, “What have we done? Look at that other district. They held such a good experience sharing conference. Many people attended, and they cultivated so well!"

In fact, cultivation is a process. Some cultivate diligently while others are not so diligent. Each area has its advantages and shortcomings. However, some practitioners unconsciously started to praise themselves. They said in their conferences: “Practitioners in our district are great. We have established this or that project to save sentient beings. Our practitioners distributed materials in this or that way. These people broke out from the evil prison.” In fact, some contents were exaggerated. As time passed, many people wanted to show off how well their local practitioners had done in cultivation. To “enrich” the experience sharing conference, some practitioners recited their own poetry and others sang. Some practitioners would even argue about what is right or wrong and whose level is higher.

The experience sharing conference is our practitioners' grand meeting. Why has there been such inane behavior? The root cause is attachment. Some people obviously have a strong attachment to showing off. They use the experience sharing conference as a platform to display themselves and express their unique viewpoints. Some people are attached to leading other practitioners. Some people do not solidly cultivate themselves but go everywhere for truth clarification or are so busy with projects that they don't calmly study the Fa. Some people even go around claiming, “It's not the time now to emphasize cultivating ourselves. As long as we do the three things well, everything will naturally turn out fine.” They believe that as long as they are busy with Dafa projects they will finally obtain everything.

A fellow practitioner's article “Comments on Experience Sharing Conferences” said, “The experience sharing is a process to encourage each other in cultivation, but not a process to guide others using people's own understandings of the Fa.”

The experience sharing conference is a cultivation form that Master left for us. It's dignified and solemn. Master wanted us to have an environment for cultivators and to wash away the pollution of ordinary society through our experience sharing. The aim is to get rid of human attachments and improve as an integrated unit. However, due to attachments, there are some things that should not be happening. Doesn't reciting one's poetry or singing alter the cultivation form Master has left for us?

I do not mean that we should not hold experience sharing conferences, but I want cultivators to realize the solemness of Dafa cultivation. I hope practitioners don't interfere with their own or others' cultivation. I hope that all of us will solidly learn the Fa, cultivate ourselves, and get rid of attachments as soon as possible.

The above are my personal understandings. If there is anything inappropriate, please kindly point it out.
