(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Wei , over 30, is from Shunyi District in Beijing. He is currently detained in Xin'an Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. His wife Su Dan is currently detained in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Liu Wei is detained in the No.2 Division of Xin'an Forced Labor Camp. Deputy head Zhang Haishen of the No.2 Division has been using every means to deceive and brainwash him. He lied to Mr. Liu, claiming, “The others, including Hou Yongcun, Wang Yu and Guo Yulan, have exposed you. Your wife Su Dan has been ‘transformed’…” But Mr. Liu was not deceived and has not cooperated with the labor camp officials.

Neither has his wife, Ms. Su Dan, who has been detained in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp and has never yielded to the intense brainwashing.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Yu was taken back home by his parents on November 30, 2012. The scars and injuries covering his body testify to the fact that he was handcuffed and tied up with ropes for a long time. As a result of being tortured he could not walk for long time and later he could not walk normally.

Practitioner Mr. Hou Yongcun is still detained and his family is not aware of his current state.

Married Couple Arrested and Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Liu Wei lived in the No.6 Resident Compound of Yulong, Shunyi District of Beijing. He was arrested on July 10, 2012 and was taken to a forced labor camp.

His wife Su Dan has been repeatedly harassed after the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. She was arrested on February 20, 2011 at home by police from Guangming Police Station in Shunyi District and was later sent to Shunyi Detention Center, where she was beaten by police and injured.

Ms. Su Dan Tortured in Labor Camp

Ms. Su Dan was sentenced to forced labor on March 29, 2011, and taken to No. 4 Division of the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she was forced to sit upright without moving with both hands in her lap on a small child's chair for 18 hours every day. She was not allowed to leave the chair even at meal times. If she moved, three criminal inmates (drug offenders, prostitutes, thieves, gamblers, etc.) assigned to watch her would beat and scold her.

Ms. Su was detained in a solitary confinement cell for over seven months.

Since the end of February 2012, the persecution of Ms. Su was intensified in the labor camp. At that time, five inmates instead of three were assigned to watch her every day. She was continually forced to sit on the small chair for long hours. She had to keep her eyes on one bright spot outside the window. She was not allowed to close her eyes or turn her head; otherwise the inmates would “correct” her. Because of the strain on her eyes, Ms. Su’s eyes were swollen and blinking uncontrollably. Because she had to sit on the small chair without moving for too long, she had difficulty having a bowel movement. She could only defecate every five days or so and sometimes she excreted blood. Before Ms. Su was sent to the forced labor camp, she used to be very healthy but subsequently became pale and weak.

Ms. Su's family complained to Yu Zhicheng at the Beijing Forced Labor Bureau about Ms. Su being tortured at the end of April 2011. Yu ordered Guo Zhaokai, head of the Supervision Section in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp, to investigate. Guo called a meeting with Ms. Su's family and the labor camp officials on May 11, 2011. The labor camp officials asserted that no torture or beatings of any kind took place.

Filing Lawsuit against Shunyi District Police Department

With the persistent efforts of Ms. Su’s family, a lawsuit was finally filed against officers from the Shunyi Police Department. When the lawsuit was first filed, it was decided that the hearing would be held in the Shunyi District Court, but officials from the labor camp wouldn’t allow Ms. Su to attend. Officials from the court and the labor camp then agreed that the hearing should be held at the labor camp.

However, on the morning of July 13, 2011, the same day the hearing was scheduled, a member of the court told Ms. Su's lawyer that the hearing had been canceled because they did not have the facilities in the labor camp to hold a hearing, and that the time and location for the next hearing would be determined later.

Mr. Liu Wei Subjected to Forced Labor

Ms. Su Dan’s husband Liu Wei was arrested in Beijing on July 10, 2012 and was sent to No.2 Division of Xin'an Forced Labor Camp.

The head of No.2 Division is Liu Kuoqi. Liu used to be the head of No.3 Division of Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, Liu Kuoqi has been very actively involved. He was promoted from team head to the division head. He often beat and cursed practitioners. In his position as a division head in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, he ordered several practitioners on hunger strike to be force fed. Several steadfast practitioners were put into solitary confinement cells, deprived of sleep, deprived of their right to use the restroom, as well as other abuses.
