(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Fenghua and Ms. Wang Xinyan of Renqiu City, Hebei Province, were held in the Renqiu City Detention Center for nearly three months before they were tried in a Renqiu Court on the afternoon of January 8, 2013. Wang Xinyan defended herself, and accused the court of forging evidence.

After 2 p.m. on January 8, 2013, Wang Fenghua and Wang Xinyan were brought into the court room. They had difficulty walking as they were wearing heavy shackles and handcuffs. Such treatment is supposed to be used only for dangerous criminals, and it is shameful to treat kind-hearted women who follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance this way. Wang Fenghua was weak and wobbled in walking. Watching them, their families and friends became emotional; some could not keep from crying.

During the hearing, each party was only allowed to have three observers, so many friends and family members were prohibited from entering the courtroom. When the prosecutor was making the case against Wang Xinyan, her mother (who is in her seventies) stood up and said: “Wang Xinyan's father has been paralyzed in bed for years and he depends on her care. If you lock her up, who else can take care her father? Don't you have parents and children?” She was stopped from saying more. The prosecutor was silent, and later finished the trial hastily.

Renqiu Falun Gong practitioners, Wang Fenghua (over 50 years old) and Wang Xinyan (over 40), were reported and arrested on October 15, 2012 while explaining the truth about Falun Gong to the public in Baizhuang, Anxin County. Around 9:30 p.m. that evening, the chief of the Renqiu Domestic Security Division led his team and several police officers and ransacked Wang Fenghua's home, confiscating a laptop, desktop computer, printer, money with atruth-clarification messages and other personal belongings, then videotaped the rooms. After 9 a.m. on October 16, six to seven police from the local Domestic Security Division, Jidong Public Security Bureau and Youjian Construction Police Station came to the home of Wang Xinyan's mother, videotaped everywhere inside and outside of the home, and forced Wang Xinyan's mother to take them to Wang Xinyan's home for a search, disregarding her paralyzed father.
