(Minghui.org) Mr. Sun Yuqiang is a 70-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Wanghaisi Village, Cang County, Hebei Province. He has been detained by the County Domestic Security Division for more than two months.
Many county residents have come to support Dafa practitioners over the years; they have become extremely dissatisfied with the police for their unwarranted persecution of good citizens. When practitioners in Hebei Province collected signatures to urge the communist authorities to release Mr. Sun, people have overwhelmingly showed their support by signing and fingerprinting the petition.
People Happy to Sign the Petition
One practitioner said to a neighbor: “Sun Yuqiang has been detained for almost three months without legal cause. The police won't let his daughter visit him and they would not let him have the clothes and blanket brought to him by his family. It is very hard for this 70-year-old man to survive in this cold winter weather. Can you sign this petition to support his release?”
The neighbor said loudly: “Who wouldn't sign this petition? Every good person on the street will sign it as long as you ask them to.” The neighbor signed and fingerprinted the petition without hesitation.
Another practitioner clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to a village cadre and told him how Mr. Sun was persecuted by the police. The village cadre simply said: “I will sign. I may not write well, but I can write my name well.” He then solemnly wrote his name and fingerprinted the petition.
The practitioner said to him: “Your signature and fingerprint shows the power of your kindness and sense of justice. Thank you.” The villager replied: “You don't need to thank me. I should thank you because you do it with my welfare in mind.”
On one occasion, a practitioner clarified the facts and described the persecution of Mr. Sun to a villager. When the practitioner asked if he would sign the petition to rescue Mr. Sun, the villager said: “Sure. You practitioners are good people. If everyone were like you, the society would become a good one. I'll write my name as neatly as I can.”
A village woman became furious at the injustice after a practitioner clarified the facts to her about the persecution of Mr. Sun. She said: “I will sign the petition as long as it is to save good people. I will even dare to testify for him.”
Receiving Blessings by Sincerely Believing in Dafa
When a villager was asked if he would support the petition, he said happily, “I'll sign it for sure.” A Dafa amulet he wore around his neck dangled down while he signed the petition. His wife and their child also signed the petition.
This villager had previously learned the facts about Dafa from local practitioners, who had given him informational materials and the Dafa amulet. He had also quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. He cherished the amulet very much and always wore it around his neck.
When other people expressed the wish to have a Dafa amulet, he obtained some amulets and informational booklets and DVDs for them from the local practitioners.
On one occasion, he was involved in a serious car accident. When the police assessed the scene, they said neither driver should have survived such a wreck. The villager's car was totally destroyed. However, he and the other driver were only slightly injured. The police said with surprise, “This is miraculous!” The villager was blessed because of his good deeds.
People Awaken
The CCP regime has persecuted Falun Dafa for almost 14 years. During these years, the regime has spent excessive monetary, material, and human resources to persecute Dafa practitioners. The communist authorities have raided and ransacked practitioners' homes, robbing upstanding citizens. They have also imprisoned, tortured and subjected practitioners to forced labor. Thousands have been killed.
As a result, the wicked party has lost the support of Chinese citizens. People are getting more sober and clearer about the malice of the persecution. More and more people want to know the truth and are choosing to quit the Communist Party. They will certainly have a bright future.
