(Minghui.org) One day last month, as I was walking along a street and distributing informational materials to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa to people, I ran into a police captain.
This captain was previously an officer at our local police station. When I was illegally arrested in past years, he almost always interrogated me. I used each opportunity to clarify the facts about Dafa to him. After numerous encounters, we came to know each other well. However, we hadn’t seen each other since he was promoted to captain.
I still remember the first time he had interrogated me. Facing his condemnation, I felt pity for him and wanted to grasp the chance to help him understand the truth. I told him the basic facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I also explained the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax staged by the Party, and the atrocity of forced organ harvesting from Dafa practitioners.
I told him: “You should already know clearly how we Falun Dafa practitioners behave. Why do people praise us? Because we do what our Master asks us to do and follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We just want to be good people. We do not fight back when punched or insulted. We are considerate of others. Is there anything wrong with this?”
Considering my words, he calmed down. He listened to me carefully and once in a while asked questions. Eventually, he even changed the way he addressed me, from “You Falun Gong are so and so...” to “Auntie, please...”
During the later interrogations, I explained the facts to him in more depth, and his attitude continued to improve little by little. One time, I advised him to find the software to break through the Internet blockade, reminding him that only by understanding the truth could he ensure a bright future for himself. He nodded and said, “Okay, okay, I will try my best to find it.”
When we met on the street this time, he proactively greeted me. He pointed at the bag in my bicycle basket and asked, “What’s in that bag? Dafa flyers?” I replied, “So what if they are? Shouldn't I pass them out?” He immediately responded, “Yes, of course you should. Everything printed on those flyers is true. I know how bad the CCP is. It's about time its evil deeds are exposed!”
I laughed and said, “It’s a true. The CCP has basically defeated itself because it is so bad.” The captain wholeheartedly agreed.
I couldn’t believe that a police captain in uniform could have changed so much. I expressed sincere gratitude in my heart for Master’s mercy, Dafa’s divine power, and fellow practitioners’ efforts in clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa to people all over the world.
I then grasped the opportunity and said to the captain: “I want to congratulate you for keeping your conscience and kindness. For your future and your family's eternal safety and happiness, I would like to advise you to withdraw from the CCP. You must renounce your association with such an evil party.” He replied without hesitation, “I had joined the Young Pioneers, the Communist Youth League and the Communist Party. I want to quit them all!”
And so, the police captain withdrew from the Party and its associated youth leagues on the spot. I felt very happy for him.
Master’s words emerged in my heart:
“But if your righteous thoughts are strong, the evil will be dissolved. The power of true compassion can dissolve all deviant factors, and when you talk with a person you will be emitting energy outwardly that dissolves evil things, and the evil in other dimensions will not dare to approach or control that person anymore. When you then reason with that person, he will listen, and you will be able to purge the lies infused into him by the wicked CCP, thus removing the block in his mind.” (“Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan”)
