(Minghui.org) The use of unknown drugs and the murder of Falun Gong practitioners at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was exposed recently in an article published on the Minghui website. There have been at least five death cases involving Falun Gong practitioners who were poisoned at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. Recently, a retired teacher from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu City sent a letter to the Minghui website giving an account of how Falun Gong practitioners at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center were administered unknown poisonous drugs.
“I am a retired teacher from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. I was arrested and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center in July of 2008, just because I practice Falun Gong. I was released on December 9, 2008. During this time, I was given poisonous drugs twice.
“The first time I was given poisonous drugs was in mid-October 2008. One night I suddenly felt short of breath. I couldn't sleep so I sat up with my back against the wall. All night, I had trouble breathing and I hardly slept. The next morning the monitoring personnel scolded me. She said that she didn't sleep well because I was up all night. She told me to be considerate and to put myself in her shoes. The symptoms from being poisoned gradually went away.
“The second time was December 2008. I had just returned home after being released from the brainwashing center. There was tightness around my chest and I felt dizzy. I suddenly felt uncomfortable in the chest area and I couldn't stand still. I also could not eat much. If I ate very slowly, I could eat some rice porridge that was very very watered down; otherwise, I would choke. I lost more than 30 pounds in a very short period of time.
“The newsletter published by the Minghui website on March 4, 2011, reported that Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Chen Shiming of Meishan City, Sichuan Province, had symptoms very similar to mine after he was released from the brainwashing center. That is when I realized I had been poisoned and I finally understood what had caused my symptoms. Mr. Chen passed away due to the poisonous drugs he was given. I am so fortunate that Master has saved me and given me a second life. Thank you Master.”
Mr. Chen Shiming's Death
Mr. Chen was a farmer at the 4th Team of Baita Village, Danling County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. He started practicing Falun Gong in October 1998. Many of the diseases that he used to suffer from such as hyperostosis, rheumatism, arthritis, and nephritis disappeared after he began the practice.
In July 2010, Mr. Chen was arrested for the fifth time while he was at home. He was taken to the brainwashing center at the Meishan 505 Factory Telecommunications Ministry Hostel and severely tortured. While detained at the brainwashing center, he was given shots containing unknown drugs and poisonous food and water. Later, he developed symptoms of high blood pressure and his life was at risk. After his release, Mr. Chen lost his memory and became very unresponsive. He shivered all over, couldn't stand still, and became extremely emaciated. After his return home, he could not care for himself and passed away in less than six months.
Poisonous Drugs at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center Kill Five
According to an article published by the Minghui website on November 27, 2012, many Falun Gong practitioners were given various types of unknown drugs in different amounts. Some of the drugs caused damage to the central nervous system, some damaged the internal organs, some triggered a panic reaction, and others created extreme pain in the body. Various experiments have been conducted at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center on living practitioners. The brainwashing center authorities wanted to know which drugs were most effective at “transforming” and ultimately “eliminating” Falun Gong practitioners without leaving any evidence that could be traced. Of the seven known death cases at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center, at lease five of them were caused by poisonous drugs. In all five cases the victims' internal organs were seriously damaged, which was the cause of death.
Mr. Xie Deqing's Dead Body Turned Black
Mr. Xie Deqing, 69, was a retired engineer at the Chengdu Hydroelectric Investigation and Design Institute (CHIDI) in Sichuan Province. He was arrested and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center on April 29, 2009. In less than a month, the healthy and high spirited elder had become extremely emaciated and was barely recognizable as a result of the persecution. He developed urinary incontinence, was unable to drink water, and suffered from severe angina. To avoid being held responsible, officials from the Xinjin Brainwashing Center including Yin Shunyao, asked the CHIDI authorities, including Fang Guofu, to pick up Mr. Xie from the brainwashing center and take him home on the evening of May 23, 2009. Mr. Xie was unconscious for the next four days. He often put his hand over his chest, moaned, and had a lot of difficulty when he turned over. He was suffering and in great pain. He passed away around 10:15 p.m. on May 27. At the time of his passing, Mr. Xie's hands had turned black. His body also gradually turned black and showed obvious signs of visceral damage and poisoning.
Ms. Liu Shenglu Had Clear Symptoms of Poisoning
Ms. Liu Shenglu (Liu Senle), 53, was from the Xindu District of Chengdu City. She was arrested on April 5, 2003 while out for a walk and was taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center two weeks later. Her family took her home on May 23, after 1,000 yuan was extorted from them. She was in terrible shape when she returned home. Her head was swollen, her chest was badly bruised, and her abdomen was swollen. She was foaming at the mouth and had severe pain all over. She constantly put her hand over her stomach. These symptoms were similar to those of Mr. Xie Deqing. Ms. Liu passed away on the morning of May 26, 2003, only three days after getting home.
Ms. Li Xiaowen Showed Severe Symptoms of Poisoning Before Death
Ms. Li Xiaowen, 67, was from Shuangliu County, Chengdu City. She was arrested by officers of the Shuangliu County 610 Office in November 2007, and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. As a result of the persecution, she was severely emaciated and showed strong symptoms of having been poisoned. She would violently throw up blood. After returning home in March 2008, she would often vomit large amount of blood. Ms. Li lost consciousness in early May, after vomiting a large amount of blood. She was hurried to the hospital, and passed away in early June 2008.
Ms. Deng Shufen Glared for Two Months
Ms. Deng Shufen from Shuangliu County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province was in her 70's. She was arrested on October 1, 2007 and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center where she was detained for 40 days. As a result of the persecution, Ms. Deng couldn't eat and became severely emaciated. She started blankly for two months and passed away on May 5, 2008.
Ms. Yin Huafeng Died of Chronic Poisoning
Ms. Yin Huafeng from Huangxu Township, Deyang City was a capable and quick thinking person. In 1996, she was very pretty and looked youthful as if she were in her late twenties when she was actually in her forties. After the Communist regime launched the persecution against Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Yin was arrested while clarifying the truth at a college in Chengdu City and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. She went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and didn't eat or drink for more than 50 days. Later, she was given an unknown drug intravenously. When the monitoring personnel and the guards weren't paying attention, she disconnected the needle from the plastic tube, which stopped the drug poisoning. Other practitioners who were also being given unknown drugs at the same time, immediately started to have symptoms such as ringing in the ears, blurred vision, swollen tongue, weakness, and were unresponsive. However, Ms. Yin's symptoms came a bit slower.
After being released from the brainwashing center, her friends and relatives noticed that she spoke slower, her tongue seemed swollen, and she couldn't carry anything that weighed more than just a few pounds. It's been suggested that the unknown drugs that she was given included something that damaged her internal organs. Ms. Yin died on March 8, 2005, from the chronic poisoning and the various tortures she had been subjected to over the years.
There have been other practitioners who have passed away due to the persecution at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. We don't know whether or not their deaths are related to the poisoning; however, further evidence of the drug poisoning at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center is still being collected.
