(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 6 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Ronghua from Taian County, Ms. Qi Guoxin from Panjin, and a male practitioner with the last name of Guo were illegally arrested from Ms. Chen's home on the evening of January 25. The house was ransacked.

2. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Huaiming and Several Other Practitioners Arrested in 2002 and Sentenced

Mr. Li Huaiming and his family, Mr. Liu Haixiao, and Mr. Wu Zilong left home to avoid being persecuted in 2002.

Ms. Li Huaiming was arrested by officers from Shuangyang District Police Department on June 12, 2002. In the meantime, his wife, Ms. Chi Shufen; his wife's sister, Ms. Chi Shujuan; and his wife's brother were also illegally arrested. Later, practitioners Mr. Liu Haixiao and Wu Zilong were arrested.

Afterwards, they were tried in Shuangyang District Court by Changchun City Intermediate Court. Mr. Li Huaiming and Mr. Liu Haixiao were sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment; Mr. Wu to 12 years in prison; Ms. Chi Shufen, Ms. Chi Shujuan, and Mr. Liu Haixiao's wife each to one and a half years of forced labor. Presently, Mr. Li Huaiming and Mr. Liu Haixiao are in Jilin Prison.

3. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Guoying Placed on Trial

Mr. Zhang Guoying was arrested by perpetrators from the Yuzhou City Domestic Security Division on June 30, 2012. His house was ransacked and he has been detained at Yuzhou City Detention Center. Mr. Zhang's case is soon scheduled to be tried.

4. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cao Yulan (78 years old) and a practitioner surnamed Qin (around 40 years old) were arrested and taken to Jitai Police Station for distributing truth clarifying materials in Shouguang City on the morning on January 27, 2013.

5. [Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qin Fang Sentenced to Seven Years of Imprisonment

Ms. Qin Fang, 50, an employee at the service department of Yangang Locomotive Depot, was arrested when she was distributing truth clarification information in 2012. She was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment.

6. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Mr. Cui Mi Arrested

Mr. Cui Mi returned home after having to leave home for many days to avoid persecution. He was arrested by the Domestic Security Division on January 25.

7. [Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zheng Fengying Sentenced to Seven Years of Imprisonment

Ms. Zheng Fengying, retired from Wuzhong City Meters Factory, was secretly sentenced by Qingtongxia City Court to 7 years of imprisonment on January 15, 2013. Her computer, printer, and four USB drives were confiscated.

8. [Beijing] Mr. Chen Sanhua Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Chen Sanhua was arrested and sent to Division No.6 of Xinan Forced Labor Camp.

9. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Still Detained

Ms. Yang Hualian, Ms. Liao Xiaolan, Xiao Huang, Ms. Liu Qianfeng, and Ms. Zhao Mingying were arrested on December 12, 2012, and detained at Guanghan Detention Center. Ms. Yang showed signs of high blood pressure and was released on January 26. Ms. Liao, Xiao Huang, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Zhao are still being held in Guanghan Detention Center. Their families went to demand their release several times with no results.

10. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Xia and Ms. Yan Zhifen Arrested

Ms. Hu Xia and Ms. Yan Zhifen were arrested and taken to Heping Town Police Station on the morning of January 28, 2013. Currently, Ms. Hu Xia has returned home. Ms. Yan Zhifen is still detained.

11. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Qi Still Detained

Ms. He Qi was held at Dongpo District Detention Center.
