(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Wuhan Women's Prison Refused to Release Ms. Hu Wangxiang

Ms. Hu Wangxiang has been detained in the Wuhan Women's Prison for three years. Her term should have been over on January 20, 2013. However, the prison refused to release her.

2. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yao Yuhua Brutally Tortured, Her Life in Danger

Ms. Yao Yuhua was brutally beaten at the Dabei Women's Prison Hospital in Shenyang. Her body was covered with and the doctor injected unknown drugs into her. Ms. Yao has been tied to a bed for more than one month. She is on the verge of death.

3. [Zhengzhou, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Qiuju Arrested

Ms. Wang Qiuju from Shangjie District, Zhengzhou was arrested by police on January 12, 2013. She is being detained in the Zhengzhou Second Detention Center.

4. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Mr. Tang Xinnian Arrested

On January 12, 2013, Mr. Tang Xinnian from Bantangpu, Xiangtan City went to the Wulidui Police Station in Bantangpu to ask for the release of Ms. Cao Lijiao after he heard that she had been arrested. Mr. Tang was also arrested. The two practitioners are being detained in the Jintangwan Detention Center for a 15-day term.

5. [Benxi, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Shuyu and Other Practitioners Arrested

On January 9, 2013, at noontime, Ms. Sun Shuyu, Ms. Chen Jing and Ms. Qu were taken away by officers from the Lianshanguan Police Station. They are being detained in the Benxi County Detention Center.

6. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Junjiu Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Han Junjiu was taken away by officers from the Chunliu Police Station in Dalian on November 3, 2012. He was transferred to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang, Liaoning Province on December 18, 2012.

7. [Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province] Mr. Guan Yongping Arrested Again

Mr. Guan Yongping was arrested by the Zhaoqing 610 Office in the middle of December 2012. He had just been released in early January 2013 and his health had not yet been restored to normal. He was arrested again on January 5, 2013, by the Zhaoqing 610 Office. Mr. Guan is still being detained at this time.

8. [Tianshui, Gansu Province] Additional Information about Practitioners Detained in the Tianshui No. 3 Prison

Mr. Li Tianzeng is being detained in the Sixth Division of Tianshui No. 3 Prison in Gansu Province. On November 23, 2012, he was brutally beaten by guards and confined in a small room. Every day, the prison only gave him two small bowls of corn soup and two buns.

Wang Weiping, 38, lives in Chengbeiguan, Gangu County, Tianshui; he has been sentenced to 18 years.
Yang Songyan, 47, lives in Sishang Village, Shili Town, Min County, Dingxi City. He is a farmer and his sentence is for seven years.
Li Chaoyang, 43, lives in Zuobao Village, Xiaozui Township, Heshui County, Qingyang City. He was a doctor. His sentence is for eight years.
Li Caiyun, 46, lives in Family Housing of Bureau of Finance in Heshui County, Qingyang City. She has been sentenced to eight years and is being detained in the Lanzhou Women's Prison.
San Peng, 40, lives in Huining County. His sentence is for 20 years.
Jiao Yongren, 72, lives in Jiaozhang Village, Lianhua Town, Linxia County. He was sentenced to four years.
Wen Weilong, 36, lives in Panjia Village, Wenjiaya, Xintian Town, Lintao and was sentenced to six years.
Cao Jianping, 50, worked at the Pingliang Electricity Bureau; sentenced to three years.

Kou Ping lives in Huan County, Qingyang City; sentenced to four years.
Bo Binpeng, 56, was a principal at Shili Town School, Gangu, Tianshui and was sentenced to six years.
Wang Rongfu, 62, lives in Ershilipu, Kongtong District, Pingliang City; sentenced to four years.
Fan Qingbin, 45, lives in Beidao, Tianshui; sentenced to three years.
Niu Ruiyi, 60, worked at Dingxi Section, Tianshui Railroad Bureau; sentenced to nine years.
Wang Shuxun, 42, worked at the Xibei Aluminum Factory; sentenced to four years.
Li Tianzeng, 32, from Linxia and worked at Xi'an, Shaanxi Province; sentenced to four years.
Zhang Zhijie, 35, was a teacher at Hejiapan High School in Heshui County, Qingyang; sentenced to three and a half years.
Xu Feng, 46 years, worked in Qingyang Telecommunication Company; sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2002.
Qiang Xiaoyi, 40, from Tongchuan, Shaanxi Province; sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2002.
Yang Jinchun, 50, worked at Tianshui Highway Management Section; sentenced to 14 years in prison in 2002.
