(Minghui.org) On January 5, 2013, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Guo Guoping and Ms. Li Lianying from Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, were arrested by officers from the Donggou Police Station of the Zezhou County Police Department in Xiwaling Village, Donggou Township, Zezhou County, Jincheng City. They were transferred to the Domestic Security Division of the Zezhou Police Department. That night, their homes were ransacked. Ms. Li was detained for 15 days and released on January 20. Ms. Guo is still in the Jincheng City Detention Station.
Ms. Guo Guoping is 58 years old. She lived in the Bichunyuan Neighborhood District on Fengtaixi Street in Jincheng City. Ms. Li Lianying, 48, lived in Dongtianshi Village in the same city.
At around 4 p.m. on January 5, the two women were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Xiwaling Village, when they were reported by someone and subsequently arrested. Later, they were transferred to the Domestic Security Division in the Zezhou County Police Department.
Zhou Jianxin, director for the 610 Office and the deputy director for the Urban District Party Office in Jincheng City, and Li Ruanjun, captain for the Domestic Security Division of the Zezhou Police Department, interrogated Ms. Guo and Ms. Li. The two ladies tried to talk to them about Falun Gong, but Zhou and Li Ruanjun refused to listen and took them to the Jincheng Detention Station the next morning.
At around 9 p.m. on January 5, Zhou Jianxin, Li Ruanjun, and ten policemen went to Ms. Guo's home with the intent to ransack it. The door was locked, so Zhou and Li attempted to break down the door. The police made a mess of the home. Li Ruanjun took away pictures of Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong. The police also ransacked Ms. Li's home. They could not find anything they thought “valuable” in the home but they took several Dafa books and pictures of Master Li.
Besides the 610 Office and the Zezhou County Police Department in Jincheng City, the Nanjie Police Station and the Kaifaqu Police Station also participated in ransacking practitioners' homes.
Ms. Guo Guoping and Ms. Li Lianying have benefited tremendously from Falun Dafa, both mentally and physically. Yet even though they have tried hard to be better people, they have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) because of their belief. In July 2000, Ms. Guo was detained for one month because she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. In October 2002, she was sentenced to forced labor for two years and taken to Xindian Labor Camp in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. This is the third time that she has been arrested. Ms. Li was detained for 15 days in July 2000 for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. This is her second arrest.
The persecution of Falun Gong has hurt the families of Guo Guoping and Li Lianying. Ms. Guo's 4-year-old grandson and two granddaughters (ages five and one) were left with no guardian. They cried for Grandma constantly. Ms. Li's mother-in-law, in her 70s, had no one to take care of her after Ms. Li's arrest. Ms. Li's husband is very busy with his work and there was no one to cook for him. Both families wanted very much to have their loved ones back home soon.
On January 20, 2013, Ms. Li Lianying returned home after she was detained for 15 days and was forced to pay a 1,000-yuan fine. Ms. Guo Guoping is still in the Jincheng City Detention Station. It was said that on January 22, her arrest was approved by the authorities.
After Zhou Jianxin, in his 40s, became the director of the 610 Office in Jincheng City, he actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. He personally organized the interrogation and detention of Ms. Guo and Ms. Li and ransacked their homes.
Li Ruanjun, 43, is a policeman in the Domestic Security Division of the Zezhou County Police Department. He has been particularly ruthless in the persecution, and has followed, harassed, arrested, and interrogated Falun Gong practitioners multiple times.
