(Minghui.org) The Weifang Brainwashing Center, led by the Weifang City 610 Office in Shandong Province, has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for many years. Some practitioners are still illegally detained.
The 610 Office not only arrested and detained practitioners from their home or work, but also extended the detention period for those who were about to be released after forced labor.
This year, the local brainwashing center has detained at least twenty-two practitioners, including Wang Chuanjie, Wang Meilian, Chen Shiguang, Tan Zhengzhi, Yuan Jun, Zhou Meifeng, Tian Yufen, Tang Xiuyun, Xia Hongqin, Wang Jilin, Gao Meixiang and others.
Various torture methods have been used by the Weifang Brainwashing Center to persecute practitioners:
(1) brainwashing
(2) extorting large sum of money
(3) interrogation including both mental and physical abuse
(4) slapping and punching
(5) confined in an iron cage
(6) handcuffed to a chair
(7) injection of unknown drugs
(8) sleep deprivation
(10) hanging up
(11) transferring to detention center or labor camp for further persecution
(12) restriction of freedom
(13) detaining one practitioner’s elderly mother
