(Minghui.org) On the afternoon of September 9, 2013, local police from Shiling Town, Chengdu City in Sichuan Province broke into 74-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jian Chengrong's home. They claimed that Ms. Jian's home was the headquarters for local Falun Gong practitioners, and sent about 20 officers to ransack the elderly woman's home. Most of the police were not in uniform. They took away all of her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, as well as Ms. Jian's computer, printer, cell phones, and about three thousand yuan in cash.

The police illegally arrested Ms. Jian and another practitioner. It was learned that they had monitored her home for several days before ransacking it.

Around 9 p.m., the police brutally interrogated Mrs. Jian and the other practitioner. They hit their lower abdomens violently until they bled. They also hit the practitioners' temples.

One hour later, the practitioners were again brought into the interrogation room at the police station. The officers slapped their faces, then, they covered their heads with their own coats and hit their faces. After the beating both practitioners spat out a lot of blood.

Next, the police stuffed huge wads of toilet paper into the practitioners' mouths. Their jaws became swollen and the flesh inside their mouths bled. Some of their teeth were also knocked out. The police continued beating the practitioners until they were severely injured.

The practitioners were tortured until 6 p.m. the next day. When they were released, they could not walk by themselves due to headache, dizziness, bruises, hunger, and the pain in their jaws.
