(Minghui.org) Seven practitioners from Hanzhong City, Shannxi Province, were illegally arrested in September 2013 for practicing Falun Gong and following the practice's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They were taken to the Hanzhong Detention Center on September 28. All except one are still detained.
Below is a brief rundown of the arrests:
Ms. Zhang Liping, Ms. Wang Xinlian, and Ms. Wang's daughter were riding in a car on their way home to Hanzhong on the evening of September 15, 2013, when they were stopped by police. After the police searched the car and found some Falun Gong materials, all three practitioners were arrested. The police confiscated their car and sent them to the Hanzhong Detention Center. Ms. Wang's daughter was released the next day; the other two women are still detained.
Mr. Wang Hanbin, 51, was arrested at home on the night of September 15.
Officers from the Hanzhong Police Department, Hanzhong Domestic Security Division, Mian County Police Department, and Mian Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Du Shuming on September 26. They also ransacked her home and confiscated three printers, a computer and Falun Gong materials.
Ms. Du Shuhui, 68, was also arrested on September 26 by the same group of police officers. They confiscated her computer, her children's computer, her grandson's computer, and her husband's and son's cell phones.
Mr. Chen Qing was questioned by police on September 26 and arrested the next day.
