(Minghui.org) I would like to share the fate of two cancer patients. One of them was my own daughter and the other is a woman from a village in Chishui, Guizhou Province.
My Daughter
My daughter was in her 40s and a government employee in China. She fell prey to the Chinese communist regime's hate-filled propaganda about Falun Gong. She was also afraid to contradict the regime's policy because she had learned from the many political movements what the Communist Party was capable of. She was vehemently opposed to my wife and me persevering in our faith in Falun Gong. She refused to listen when we tried to explain what Falun Gong really was. Sometimes she would even reprimand us when we tried to talk to her about Falun Gong.
My daughter was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the second half of 2011. I asked her to repeat “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” because I had witnessed people being cured of cancer simply by saying these words.
She dismissed it as "sheer superstition." She was determined to put her faith in modern Western medicine. She once tried to kick me out of her ward when I tried to explain to her the supernormal healing power of Falun Gong.
A Woman with Liver Cancer
In early 2013, I met a woman in her 30s from a poverty stricken mountain region. She had liver cancer and ascites, excessive fluid that accumulates in the abdominal cavity. She had become very skinny when I met her in the same hospital where my daughter was.
Her husband stayed with her at the hospital to look after her. They lived on the most minimal diet in order to save money to pay for the huge medical expenses. They would even eat uncooked sweet potatoes. When my wife and I noticed their poor diet, we shared our meals with them. We took the opportunity to explain her the truth about Falun Gong and suggested that she sincerely start reciting “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
From that day on, the couple repeated “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” whenever they had time. Her headache and lower back pain somehow eased, as did the swelling of her stomach. She slept better at night and her appetite improved. We heard that she even ate raw sweet potatoes at night. She was able to get out of bed and walk around. She was feeling better every day.
One day she told me, “I believe Falun Gong is good. When I return home, I will start reading Falun Gong books and start practicing the Falun Gong exercises. I want to be a better person.”
When she was examined again, she was informed that her cancer cells had disappeared. It was a miracle. The physicians, nurses, and patients in the same ward were dumbfounded.
My Daughter
My wife and I told our daughter about happened with the woman who had had liver cancer and asked her again to do the same. But she dismissed it again.
My daughter said, “Stop talking nonsense. This is a military hospital, someone will report you to the authorities. I don't believe in Falun Gong. Don't try to force your faith on me.”
Her prognosis worsened, and she could neither eat nor sleep. She could not urinate or move her bowls. Her entire body swelled up. She could not get oxygen from the oxygen tank, and no one could find a vein to give her an IV. Finally, a doctor told us she was going to die.
When she was still conscious and able to hear us, my wife and I told her, “Remember how you survived three times when your son shouted 'Falun Gong is good' and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' at you? Can you bear to leave your beautiful boy behind? You must fight for your life!”
My wife and I started playing Teacher's audio lectures for her. This time she did not object. By the time she had almost finished listening to lecture five, she was able to get out of bed without assistance and use the bathroom. Then she continued to listen to Teacher's lectures. Before she knew it, she felt hungry and was able to eat rice congee. Next, she was able to get IV fluids.
She was going to live!
I asked her, “Aren't you feeling better after you listened to Teacher's lectures?”
I was disappointed when she said, “The hospital treatment also contributed to my recovery. I have a college degree, I am more educated than you, I believe in science. You believe in superstition. I don't believe in superstition.”
One day she told my wife and me, “I dreamed of a giant divine being. With one swish of a finger, he raised me up onto a golden lotus flower. I was laying on top of the lotus flower while six Buddhist monks chanted Buddhist scriptures around me. Then the lotus flower and I both levitated.”
I asked her what she thought the dream meant. She said she had no idea. I then offered my own interpretation. “I believe Teacher was giving you a hint that divine beings do exist. It is time for you to believe in Falun Gong because it is the only thing that can save your life now. Give up your fantasies about the Chinese Communist Party. It has done nothing but kill and persecute people. Why don't you quit the Party's youth organizations you were once a member of?”
She retorted, “I can never understand why you have to oppose the Communist Party.”
I explained, “Falun Gong is about Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, while the nature of the Communist Party is deceit, wickedness, and strife. Since the Communist Party took over China, it has launched one political movement after another, killing 80 million Chinese people. It has even committed the most horrible atrocity against Falun Gong practitioners, harvesting organs from living practitioners for profits. It is doomed. Part with it to save yourself from the same fate.”
She still believed that the Communist Party would improve over time.
One month later, my daughter passed away.
She died two years after she was diagnosed with cancer. My wife and I had never given up on her. Teacher tried to save her life many times. She refused the help from Falun Gong repeatedly, though each time she had gotten better because of Falun Gong.
My wife and I are sharing these experiences because we don't want anyone else to miss the opportunity for Falun Gong to save you as our daughter did. We can never bring her back, but we hope you will be able to save your loved ones by learning and accepting the truth about Falun Gong.
