Additional Persecution News from China – October 11, 2013 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Jiangmei and Ms. Liu Yanling Detained

Ms. Wei Jiangmei was arrested by police officer Hu on October 16, 2013, when she went to Binzhou City to hand out information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Binzhou Detention Center. No family members are allowed to visit her.

Ms. Liu Yanling was also held in the Bingzhou Detention Center. Police extorted over 50,000 yuan from her family.

2. [Chongqing] Mr. Lai Yunchang Detained

Mr. Lai Yunchang from the Jiangjin District was arrested on October 12, 2013. He is being held in the Jiangjin Detention Center.

3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Zhen Detained

Ms. Liu Zhen was recently arrested at home by officers from the 2 ^nd Branch of the NingJiang Police Department. She was detained for 10 days.

4. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Sumei and her husband were arrested on the evening of September 22, 2013.

Mr. Wang Shunli and his wife, Ms. Tong Fengying, were arrested the next morning.

5. [Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Luo Jianrong Arrested

Mr. Luo Jianrong, 46, from Nancheng County, was arrested at his sanitary equipment store on October 8, 2013.

In 2011, Mr. Luo was sent to a forced labor camp for one and a half years.

Officers barged into the home of Ms. Wang Yanqin (from Qianan) on the afternoon of October 9, 2013. They ransacked the home and confiscated her son's computer and other items.

7. [Wusu City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhang Chengjun Arrested
Mr. Zhang Chengjun was arrested by agents from the Wusu City 610 Office on October 8, 2013. His home was ransacked.
