(Minghui.org) On the night of August 29, 2013, police from the National Security Team of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, and local police from Beizhen of Jinzhou, broke into a farmer's home. They illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioner Yu Ming, from Shenyang, who was there to attend his nephew's wedding. The police said that since Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping was planning to visit the Duofu residential community in the Shenhe district of Shenyang City on August 30, they had to arrest Yu Ming.

Police Arrest Yu Ming and Threaten to Imprison Him for Eight to Ten Years

Yu Ming's sister and her family were preparing to go to bed on the night of August 29, 2013, after 10:00 p.m., following a busy day preparing for their child's wedding. Suddenly, lights from several police cars were visible just outside their home. A group of police officers in black suits rushed to their door. They dragged Yu Ming's brother-in-law, kicked him, and beat him. Yu Ming's older sister cried out in horror. Yu Ming thought they were there to rob them of their wedding supplies. He looked for his cell phone, to call the police, but was grabbed by a group of people who handcuffed his hands behind his back.

Yu Ming's sister and brother-in-law frantically approached the police to ask what was going on. They claimed they were police from the National Security Team of Shenyang, and that they were just carrying out orders. They also said that Xi Jinping was coming to Shenyang City to watch the 12th National Games, and would be visiting the Duofu residential area on August 30. All levels of police officers including retired officers, were required to search for and arrest Falun Gong practitioners. Plainclothes police were on the streets looking for anything they thought suspicious, and would arrest those people immediately.

It was reported that the police put Yu Ming in a small room at the Da'nan Police Station of Shenhe District, Shenyang City. They locked him in a chair made of iron with handcuffs on both hands and shackles on both feet. Police from the National Security Teams of both the district and the city came over the same night to interrogate him. Yu Ming noticed that they had prepared the charges against him in advance on the criminal detention letter. They kept asking him why he posted an article on the Minghui website. Shortly afterwards one of the officers told him that their superiors said that based on what he had done, he would be sentenced to 8 to 10 years.

Yu Ming was handcuffed to the iron chair so tightly that the handcuffs cut into his flesh and he could not move his fingers. He was not given any food or water, nor was he allowed to use the restroom. On the evening of August 30, a director of the police station (Liu) told two people to let him out of the iron chair. They then put him in the police minivan and took him to the branch police station of Shenhe. They made plans to take him to a detention center. Yu Ming felt that he should not allow them to do this, as he had been framed and had committed no crime.

Therefore, while on the road to Shenyang City, Yu Ming made an attempt to escape. He opened the window and jumped out, rolling over several times and then running into a corn field. Police officers who were escorting him were dumbfounded and did not know how to react.

On the night of August 30, while the police car was driving to Shenyang Detention Center, Falun Gong practitioner Yu Ming opened the window and jumped out of the vehicle. These are parts of the handcuffs that had been put on him.

Yu Ming Survived Severe Torture Over the Past Ten Years

Yu Ming had a clothing business at Wu'ai Street of Shenyang. Because he was persistent in practicing Falun Gong, he had been harassed multiple times by CCP personnel. In 2001, he was once detained at Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. He was deprived of sleep, forced to stand under the hot sun for extended periods of time, and forced to perform heavy physical labor. One day, police officer Ni Zhenxiong, who was on duty at the jail, roughly dragged him into the office to punch and kick him repeatedly. Ni behaved hysterically as he choked Yu's neck and then shocked Yu with an electric baton. He then dragged him downstairs by his feet, letting his head hit every step. This treatment caused Yu to become dizzy, and his clothes were torn apart. After he was downstairs, Ni twisted Yu's arm nearly to the breaking point. However Yu miraculously survived all this torture. In March 2002, Yu Ming was taken by police Liu Guoxi to a dark room on the second floor. He tied Yu to a bed board. Liu Guoxi used two special 80,000-volt electric batons and relentlessly shocked the soles of Yu's feet. He continued this torture for the entire morning.

Yu Ming was arrested again in October 2003, after being free a short time. He was detained at Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp again. He was later transferred to the No. 1 Forced Labor Camp in Kaiping District of Tangshan City, Hebei Province for further persecution.

Yu Ming was arrested by security officers from the National Security Team of Beijing in March 2006. He was then detained at Beijing Forced Labor Camp Dispatch Center. On September 14, 2006, he was transferred to Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp again. This time, jail guards used another form of torture. They tied up Yu Ming's neck, chest, hands, and legs onto a chair. Other inmates were assigned to watch him constantly for the rest of the year. Yu Ming twice suffered from heart attacks. His weight dropped quickly from 175 lb. to 100 lb., and his muscles atrophied. He could no longer keep his back straight on his own, or raise his arms and hands.

Yu Ming was transferred on May 21, 2007 to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, a place that is notorious for brutally torturing inmates. There he was beaten, shocked with electric batons, and hung by his wrists for several days. This was done by jail guards led by Yu Jiang and Li Meng. He was detained in a special large iron cage for three months. He could not stand up in the cage, nor could he lie down. Because he was known to resist being “transformed,” Chen Zhenggao, head of the 610 Office, directly ordered that he be persecuted during the Olympic Games in 2008, in order to achieve Masanjia's so-called “100 percent” conversion. This time, jail police officers shocked his genitals with electric batons, and then poured cold water over him. They then beat him with an iron bar until he lost consciousness.

On one occasion, the guards were certain that Yu Ming was going to die. They told the other inmates to change his clothes and clean him up. They told the doctor in the jail to sew up the cut on his head he sustained from their beating him with an iron bar. They even wrote a fake suicide note that claimed Yu Ming hit his head on the wall. However, Yu lived to tell the real story of what happened.

Shenyang police still wantonly harass Yu Ming's family and friends, and they continue to persecute other Falun Gong practitioners. It was recently reported that several Falun Gong practitioners from Dadong District were arrested, including Sun Shuwen, Hu Xiuyan, Li Dongxu from Huanggu District, and Gao Jingqun from Shenhe District. They arrested and ransacked several Falun Gong practitioners' homes.

Many innocent families suffer and the police officers are still not complying with the law. They are the real criminals.
