(Minghui.org) A fellow practitioner and I are in our 70s. We follow Master's guidance to do the three things, and we go out to save people almost every day. We are walking firmly on the path toward godhood.
We went to a shopping mall around 9 a.m. on July 13, 2013. When we were about to take out truth-clarification DVDs and distribute them to people at the entrance, three police and a few plain-clothes police suddenly surrounded us and took away our bags. Our DVDs, booklets, and purses were all in those handbags. The other practitioner had her ID in her purse, which was in the bag. Everything happened so fast that our minds went blank. We quickly realized that we must get her ID back. I sent forth righteous thought to eliminate all the evil beings and factors that were manipulating the police to persecute us. At the same time, I told the police to give us back the purse. The officer hurried to check the bag. Many people had gathered by now and were watching. He found a rolled up handkerchief. I said, “That's it!” He laughed at us and said, “This is your purse?” and gave it back to her.
We continued sending forth righteous thoughts. The police wanted to get us into the police car. They pushed the other practitioner into the car. I stood at the door and resisted. Master's words came to my mind, “No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates. If everyone does this the environment won’t be this way.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful” in Essentials for Further Advancement II) The police said “You need to cooperate with us.” I said loudly, “I didn't steal, rob, murder, set fire, or break any laws. Why should I get into the car?” I kept my thought firm that I'm a divine being and nobody can move me. The officer pulled on my clothes. I looked at him and said, “What are you doing? Put your hands down!” And he immediately put his hands down. I could really feel that Master was by my side and protecting me.
The Power of Compassion
By now the crowd of people around us had gotten larger. Someone asked the police what we did. The police said that Falun Gong is an evil cult and it's illegal to practice Falun Gong. I responded, “Which law are we breaking by practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance? Is it illegal to be a good person? Section 35 of the Constitution allows freedom of belief.” The police had nothing to say.
The other practitioner who was in the police car kept sending forth righteous thoughts. A few minutes later, the police officer standing in front of the car door left, and she immediately got out. At that moment, an elderly man stepped out from the crowd. He was very angry and said some words slandering Dafa. He complained that we hand out materials and talk to people including children every day. Obviously he didn't understand the truth. I said, “There is nothing wrong with practicing Falun Gong. People have benefited greatly from it, both morally and physically. I recovered from cancer by practicing Falun Gong. How could I not tell people about such a wonderful thing - that my cancer has been cured?” Then I said to the police, “You keep the DVD and watch it carefully. Jiang Zemin launched the persecution against Falun Gong because of his own jealousy. Bo Xilai made huge profits by harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners. They have committed heinous crimes. If you don't accept the truth and keep doing evil together with them, you will have to pay for everything in the future.”
With Master's strengthening, we cooperated together and kept clarifying the truth. Although it was a short period of time, I could feel that there was a big war between good and evil in other dimensions. Two more police officers came. They looked like supervisors. They asked me where I live. I didn't answer. Then they asked, “What's your name?” I said, “Good person.” They also questioned the other practitioner. She said, “I'm kindness.” The police tried everything, but achieved nothing. Suddenly I felt very sad in my heart. I said to them compassionately, “I feel so bad for you – I just want to cry...” I took off my glasses and my tears flowed. I continued, “If you keep blindly following the communist regime, how will you survive when catastrophes happen in the future? You police are also lives that need to be saved.” My words carried such a compassionate energy that all the police left at once. It was really as Master said:
“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in spring Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world” (“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos” from Hong Yin Vol. II)
Learning to Look Inward All The Time
After we came back, we looked inward. We realized that we were attached to handing out truth-clarification DVDs. Sometimes we had zealotry, and sometimes we had an attachment to doing things. Other practitioners also helped us look inward, and we found some human notions that we needed to eliminate. We asked Master to strengthen us on eliminating those human notions. Thank you Master for protecting us. At the final stage of Fa-rectification, we must study the Fa well, look inward when problems surface and save more people. Let's not give Master any reason to worry about us.
