Additional Persecution News from China – July 12, 2012 (27 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties and in 12 provinces. In this report, 22 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] More Information on the July 6, 2012 Large Scale Arrest

Besides an earlier report, five more practitioners were found to have been arrested on July 6, 2012. They were: Ms. Sun Yuzhi, Mr. Wang Renhu, Ms. Xiao Chunling, Ms. Hao Yueshan, and Mr. Qu Lianxi.

2. [Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xu Ai'e and Mr. Jiang Jiulun Detained

Ms. Xu Ai'e and Mr. Jiang Jiulun were recently arrested. They are being held at the Tongxiang City Detention Center.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Feng Xikui Sent to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp

Several officers from the Huizhan Police Department, including Zhang Zhigang, went to Mr. Feng Xikui's home on June 12, 2012, and arrested him. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, and Shen Yun DVDs. Mr. Feng was taken to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp on July 7 to serve a one-year term. Family visits are not allowed for the first three months.

4. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Xiao Guoping Arrested

Officers from the Domestic Security Division and local police station, broke into Mr. Xiao Guoping's home on the evening of July 5, 2012. The police arrested Mr. Xiao and ransacked his home.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tan Yurui and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Tan Yurui, Ms. Tan Guiying, and Ms. Chen Kun were arrested by officers from the Xinhua Town Police Station in the Acheng District on July 10, 2012. After being held at the police station for 12 hours, three practitioners were taken away by the Acheng Police Department. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Jie Held at the Shenhe Detention Center

7. [Beijing] Mr. Wen Zhongyuan Arrested

Mr. Wen Zhongyuan, in his 30s, was arrested on the afternoon of July 11, 2012, while speaking with people about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked.

8. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] More Information on the Arrest of Mr. Yang Yingheng

Mr. Yang Yingheng, in his 60s, was reported while speaking with people about Falun Gong in Datong Town on the morning of June 16, 2012. He was arrested by officers from the Datong Police Station. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials.

Mr. Yang was taken to the Chitianhua Drug Rehabilitation Center. He was released after 10 days of detention and when he was on the verge of death. The police ordered him to report to the police department every month for the next five years.

9. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Fang Dezeng Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor

10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Fengxian Arrested

Ms. Wang Fengxian was arrested by officers from the Longtan Police Department on the morning of July 10, 2012, while handing out Shen Yun DVDs.

11. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. He Zhiwei Arrested on Her Way to Work on July 10, 2012

12. [Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Chunlin Taken to the Yichun Brainwashing Center

Mr. Li Chunlin, from Tongbei Town, Bei'an City, was arrested by Tongbei Police Department deputy director Li Yanhe and several officers on July 9, 2012. Mr. Li was taken to the Yichun Brainwashing Center.

13. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Ye Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Lin Ye, 51, was arrested by officers from the Meihua Police Station on June 6, 2012. She was taken to a brainwashing center located at the Hexi Brigade.

14. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Guirong Arrested

Ms. Li Guirong, from Bo'ai County, was arrested in Hebi City on June 24, 2011. She was transferred to Bo'ai County on July 22, 2011.

15. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Shufen Released

Gucheng Town government personnel went to Ms. Li Shufen's home on the morning of July 10, 2012. They took Ms. Li to the town government and later sent her to a brainwashing center located at the Xiaocun Town, Dingxing County. Ms. Li was recently released.

16. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] More Information on the Arrests of Ms. Chen Xiuyun and Mr. Deng Honghua

Ms. Chen Xiuyun and Mr. Deng Honghua were arrested by officers from the Fengqiping Police Station on June 13, 2012, while distributing truth clarification materials in Fengqiping Town. They were taken to the Qidong County Detention Center. After 15 days of detention, Ms. Chen was released after her family was forced to pay an illegal fine. Mr. Deng was sentenced to two years in prison by the Shaodong County 610 Office.

17. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zeng Yuxian and Ms. Li Xindi Detained

Mr. Zeng Yuxian and Ms. Li Xindi were arrested on July 8, 2012, while handing out Falun Gong informational materials in a suburban area. They were taken to the Baitian Police Station and later taken to a detention center.

18. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Xin'e Arrested and Her Home Ransacked

Ms. Hu Xin'e, in her 50s, went to the countryside on July 1, 2012 to speak with people about Falun Gong. She was reported and arrested by personnel of the Lushi Town 610 Office. She was taken to the Lushi Town Police Station. The police later ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials.

19. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yin Haizhu Subjected to Forced Brainwashing Session

Ms. Yin Haizhu is being incarcerated at the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. She was transferred from the No. 3 Prison District to No. 9 Prison District to undergo brainwashing for the purpose of being “transformed.”

Ms. Yin was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Gongnong District Court of Hegang City. She was transferred from the Hegang City No. 2 Detention Center to the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison on May 23, 2007.

20. [Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang and Ms. Jia Held at the Jiaxiang Detention Center

Ms. Zhang and Ms. Jia were reported for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Chenlou Village, Wanzhang Town, Jiaxiang County, on July 3, 2012. They were later arrested by Jiaxiang officer Sun Jianguo and several officers from the Wanzhang Police Station and their homes were ransacked. They were held at the Jiaxiang Detention Center.

21. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Xiaonan Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhang Xiaonan was arrested on May 13, 2012. He was transferred to a brainwashing center on June 13.

22. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Fengzhen Arrested on July 9, 2012

23. [Chongqing] List of Practitioners Who Are Missing After Being Arrested

The whereabouts of some practitioners became unknown after being arrested and they are still missing. In Chongqing, 12 practitioners have been missing since the first half of 2012, and they are:

Mr. Zhu Yugui from Laodong Village in Jiulongpo District
Ms. Gao Jie, a teacher of the Shuangyan Elementary School in Hechuan District
Ms. Bai Suying from Yongchuan District

24. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xu Luhai's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Xu Luhai is doing odd jobs in Zengcheng, Guangzhou. He was arrested while speaking with people about Falun Gong in 2011. He was held at the Zengcheng Detention Center, and was secretly moved. His whereabouts are unknown.

25. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qing Xiuying Detained

Ms. Qing Xiuying, from the Shenhe District, was arrested on July 11, 2012 by officers from the Dongta Police Station in Dadong District. She is being held at the Shenyang Detention Center.

26. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Wei Abused in Dongling Prison

Mr. Zhang Wei has been subjected to severe brainwashing since he was transferred from the Panjin Prison to the Dongling Prison. Mr. Zhang has been incarcerated for seven years and developed serious lesions on his lungs. He is still subjected to brainwashing every day.

27. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Pan Linyou Taken to Fushun Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Chengshan Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Chengshan Town Police Station handcuffed Mr. Pan Linyou and arrested him on July 7, 2012. Mr. Pan was taken to the Fushun Brainwashing Center.
