(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Guohua, 44, lives in the 15th Team in Liujiawan of Taihe Farm in Bingchuan County, Yunnan Province. On the afternoon of July 4, 2012 she was arrested by local police in Qiaodian Town, Bingchuan County because she practices Falun Gong.
That day, around ten officers from the local 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division (DSD) illegally raided Ms. Liu’s home, seizing two portraits of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, Dafa-related books, an embroidery of the words “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” one hundred CD boxes, one MP3 player, and two loudspeaker boxes. Ms. Liu was not home at the time. The Bingchuan DSD later illegally arrested Ms. Liu and imprisoned her for one night, then sent her to the Bingchuan Detention Center the next day.
Weeks later, on July 25, the Bingchuan Domestic Security Division gave Ms. Liu’s family a notice of detention.
On August 31, police officer Li Yanping from the Bingchuan Domestic Security Division called Ms. Liu’s son, Zou Yongfeng, and told him to pick up a notice of arrest. Ms. Liu’s family hired a lawyer, who went to meet her at the Bingchuan Detention Center on September 3. However, the lawyer was not allowed to see her, so he went to the Bingchuan Police Station to look for officer Li Yanping. The officers passed the buck to each other and finally told the lawyer, “We have asked, but you still cannot see Liu Guohua.” At that time, the responsible officers Li Yanping, Xiang Yongixang (number 043926), Inspector Peng Guixing (number 043914), Commissar Liu were present.
Ms. Liu Guohua started practicing Falun Gong in 2007. Once, before she started practicing Falun Gong, she accidentally cut her hand. A practitioner in her family told her to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” After doing so, she found it very effective: the wound that would have required sutures was healed without any medical care. After witnessing the wonder of Dafa, she started to practice Falun Dafa as well. Ms. Liu used to suffer from gastroptosis, gallstones, and gastric ulcer. After practicing Falun Dafa, all of her illnesses disappeared. She told her parents, sister-in-law, uncles, and aunts about the beauty of Falun Dafa – some of her relatives started practicing, too. Since Ms. Liu started practicing Falun Dafa, her family members benefited as well. Her husband, who is not a practitioner, experienced relief from his symptoms of severe diabetes and rheumatism.
On the second day of the Chinese New Year in 2010, Ms. Liu's son sped around a curve, causing his car to skid toward the Er Sea. Just as the car was about to roll, her son shouted, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” The car suddenly stopped and did not roll down into the sea.
With the guidance of Falun Dafa's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Ms. Liu's relationship with her mother-in-law became more harmonious, as did all interactions within her family. Everyone now knows to look within to find his/her own problem whenever a conflict occurs, rather than fighting with others.
However, for 13 years now, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted good people like Ms. Liu Guohua, who believes in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The CCP filed false charges against her to justify her detention. The persecution has harmed not only Ms. Liu but also her family. When her family hired a lawyer and followed proper procedures for Ms. Liu's defense, the lawyer was obstructed in every way possible and was not allowed to meet with his client. Ms. Liu's relatives will continue appealing the case.
