Additional Persecution News from China – July 28, 2012 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Fengwen and Others Arrested

Ms. Tian Fengwen and Mr. Ma Baosheng, both from Shuiquan Village, Xiguan Town, Beipiao City of Liaoning Province, were arrested in the morning of July 16, 2012. A non- practitioner, Mr. Liu Chunsheng, was also arrested.

2. [Tonghai County, Yunnan Province] Mr. Wang Wei Arrested

Mr. Wang Wei from Tonghai County, Yunnan Province, was arrested at Yuxi on the morning of July 25, 2012. The police confiscated Mr. Wang's personal computer and informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zeng Shuling Has Difficulty Walking after Being Detained

Ms. Zeng Shuling, from Harbin, was arrested and sent to Qianjin Forced Labor Camp. She was detained in the 2^nd Team. She now has difficulty walking on her own due to abuse in detention.

4. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province ] Ms. Xie Changyan, Ms. Qi Yunfeng, and Ms. Zhao Chunxia Arrested

Ms. Qi Yunfeng and Ms. Xie Changyan from Halahai, Nong'an County, Jilin Province, were arrested from their homes by officers, including the director of the local police station, on the morning of July 24, 2012.

Ms. Zhao Chunxia, from the same area, was also arrested from home on the afternoon of July 26, 2012. The police ransacked her home and arrested her husband and daughter, who is not a practitioner.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Mr. Pei Zhenbo

Mr. Pei Zhenbo from Dalian is employed at Mr. Wang Jiaqian's company, which Mr. Wang's wife co-owns. During the morning of July 6, 2012, Mr. Pei Zhenbo and Mr. Wang Jiaqian were arrested at work by officers from the Haijun Square Police Station of Zhongshan District. Later on, two officers went to Mr. Wang Jiaqian's home and arrested his wife, Ms. Sun Jiamei. Mr. Wang and his wife were released the same day.

6. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhou Zhongyong Arrested

Mr. Zhou Zhongyong from Wuwei County, Anhui Province was recently arrested in Nanjing City. He is being held at the detention center of the Wuwei County Police Department.

7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Bao Guiqin Sentenced to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Bao Guiqin from Hulan Ergi District, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province was recently sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. She was sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center on the morning of July 24, 2012.

8. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Jie Arrested

Ms. Liu Jie from Dongfeng District, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested by officers from the Changsheng Police Station on the afternoon of July 24, 2012, and was sent to the Jiamusi City Detention Center. Later on, officers from the Changsheng Police Station ransacked Ms. Liu's home.

9. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Jing Detained

Ms. Wang Jing from Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province was illegally sent to a detention center by officers Feng Jitang and Li Xiaojun from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 27, 2012.

10. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Additional Information on Mr. Lu Zhanping's Arrest

Mr. Lu Zhanping from Huabei Oil Field, Renqiu City, Hebei Province was transferred to Hohhot Forced Labor Camp from Xilinhot City Detention Center around mid-July 2012.

11. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Kang Suqin's Prison Term Illegally Extended

Ms. Kang Suqin from Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province was illegally sentenced to an 11-year prison term in 2001. She is very weak after being tortured for all these years. She should have been released on July 25, 2012, but Shangxi Women's Prison is still detaining her because she refuses to give up her practice of Falun Gong.

12. [Nanbu County, Sichuan Province] Additional information on the Arrest of Mr. Zhang Yijun

Mr. Zhang Yijun, 57, a farmer from Fuhu Town, Nanbu County, Sichuan Province, was arrested from Liuyi Town, Nanbu County at noon on July 19, 2012. The same officers from the Yanting County Police Department who arrested him also ransacked his home. Mr. Zhang is being held at the Yanting County Detention Center.

13. [ Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Mr. Fang Qiang Arrested

Mr. Fang Qiang from Huangshigang District, Huangshi City, Hubei Province was arrested by plainclothes officers in the early morning of July 27, 2012. The police also ransacked his home. Mr. Fang's whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Yuxi City, Yunan Province] Additional information on the Arrest of Ms. Gui Chunli

Ms. Gui Chunli from Yuxi City, Yunan Province was arrested by Zhu Jiayong from the Hongta Police Department and Wang Zhiming from the Yudai Road Comprehensive Management Office on July 25, 2012. The police also ransacked Ms. Gui's home. She is currently being held at the Jiulongchi Detention Center, Hongta District, Yuxi City.

15. [Yunnan Province] Ms. Chen Shuqin and Ms. Zhou Yunzhen Arrested

Ms. Chen Shuqin, 58, and Ms. Zhou Yunzhen, 62, are both from Yunnan Province. They were arrested while on a city bus in early July 2012. Ms. Zhou was sent to Dabanqiao Forced Labor Camp for a two-year sentence. Ms. Chen is being held at the Wuhua Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Lizhen was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Qiubei County and Wenshan County, Yunan Province during the afternoon of July 24, 2012. The police also ransacked her home.
