Additional Persecution News from China – August 28, 2012 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 6 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xiangtan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Lu Xuemei Arrested Again

Ms. Luo Xuemei was taken to the Shuyuanlu Police Station by Liu Xiaohua and other policemen when she returned to work and was visiting with her colleagues on the morning of August 23, 2012. Her home was also ransacked. The police took Falun Dafa books, pictures of Master Li, etc.

Ms. Luo Xuemei was released on August 24, 2012 because tests at the hospital revealed that she had severe coronary heart disease and hypertension.

3. [Xinxiang, Henan Province] Mr. Zhou Longyu and Ms. Wang Suqin Arrested

Mr. Zhou Longyu and Ms. Wang Suqin were reported to the police for clarifying the truth to people about Falun Gong on August 18, 2012. Officers from the Weibei Police Station arrested them. The two practitioners are now in the Xinxiang Detention Center.

Mr. Zheng Xingquan, Mr. Guo Shengli, Ms. Yang Lichun, and Ms. Yang Liqun are still in the Xinxiang Detention Center.

4. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Yuezeng Tortured in Jiamusi Prison

Ms. Zhang Yuezeng from Jidong was sentenced to eight years in prison. She has been incarcerated in Jiamusi Prison. Recently, she was sent to a small cell and tortured. The prison authorities would not allow her family to visit her.

5. [Baoji, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Cao Yuhua Arrested

Ms. Cao Yuhua, in her 70s, was arrested by plainclothes police for clarifying the truth on the morning of August 26, 2012. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wei Jinglong and Mr. Li Desheng Arrested

On August 27, 2012, policeman Wang Weijing from Heishan County, Jinzhou and officers from the Badaohao Police Department went to Badaohao Mine in Heishan County and ransacked the homes of Mr. Wei Jinglong and Mr. Li Desheng. They took copies of Zhuan Falun, computers, printers, etc. The two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

On August 22, 2012, Ms. Wei Baoying from the Acheng District was sent to Harbin Women's Prison for a three-month term.
