(Minghui.org) A student’s final year in medical school takes place at a practice clinic, and this year around 100 medical and nursing students took part in the program at our school. The general training was split into two groups: 59 students were in the first group, and 68 students were in the second group. The group leader Wang Daming taught my first class, “Introduction to the Practice Clinic.”
At 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning, the students were already waiting at their first period. A tall, enthusiastic looking Mr. Wang cheerfully greeted us before introducing himself. He told us that we will not need to take any notes during the class, but said that we needed to listen attentively. If we had any questions we should feel free to ask them, and then the entire class could discuss the answer. He said, “I expect you all to remember everything we cover in class, because it will have a huge impact on your future life.”
We first discussed ethics and its ties to people's moral values. Mr. Wang talked about China's 5,000 years of culture serving as the foundation for everything. He told us about the values of Confucius and Lao Zi, and the relationship between heaven and earth. Mr. Wang then connected these topics with the legendary stories of ancient Chinese doctors: Sun Simiao, Li Shizhen and Hua Tuo, who had great virtue and incredible abilities to cure illnesses. Mr. Wang then contrasted these respected historical figures with the corrupt people of today. With Chinese doctors widely prescribing only their expensive pharmaceuticals, and Chinese manufacturers selling poisoned and contaminated food products.
Mr. Wang went on to tell us that in ancient times, when the emperor faced a calamity, they would pray to the gods for forgiveness and searched within themselves to see what they did wrong. He told a story about Emperor Yao, who came across a thief being arrested. The emperor asked the thief why he stole. The thief replied, “This year's harvest was very bad, and my family is starving to death. I had no choice but to steal some food.” The emperor replied, “It is entirely my fault that this has happened to you. I did not have enough virtue, and I did not properly take care of the country. That's why this disaster is happening.” Catastrophes such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flooding and epidemics continue to ravage the earth. But instead of finding their own faults, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials cover it up and say that they are all “natural disasters.” Mr. Wang then urged us all to be good people and to always remember that good deeds are rewarded and evil is punished.
One student raised her hand and asked, “What type of person is a good person?” Mr. Wang turned around and wrote in large characters on the blackboard, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” and then explained how Falun Gong practitioners try to use these principles in their everyday life to become good people.
Another student raised her hand and asked, “If Falun Gong is really that amazing, why would the CCP persecute its practitioners?” Mr. Wang went on to tell us how Jiang Zemin issued orders to defame the practice and single-handedly initiated the persecution. The students' eyes remained fixed on Mr. Wang as he spoke.
Mr. Wang told us about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and about the rock in Guizhou Province inscribed with the words, “Chinese Communist Party collapses.” He said that if we recite, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” we will have a good future, and suggested that we quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He then gave the whole class some time to consider their decision, and told them to raise their hand if they wanted to quit. The class erupted into conversation and then people started to say in turn, “I will quit the CCP.” Fifty nine hands shot up. Mr. Wang held up the student roster and began checking off each name in turn. That class took a total of three hours to complete.
Mr. Wang told me that before the class he was slightly anxious, so he sent forth righteous thoughts intensively for two days and asked Master for help. Reflecting on his emotions in class, Mr. Wang said, “I was completely focused on the students' understanding the facts about Falun Gong, and felt as if a steady stream of wisdom was pouring out of my heart. I know that it was divine help from Master and Dafa that made this possible.”
The success of the first class boosted Mr. Wang's confidence for helping those in the second class to quit the CCP. With Master's blessings, all 68 students in the second class also quit the CCP.
