(Minghui.org) Daqing City police have illegally arrested 23 Falun Gong practitioners since April 2012 and harassed other practitioners numerous times, causing great disruption and harm to the practitioners' families.
Officers from the Tieren Police Department arrested Ms. Dong Lijun from Jiefhang Village on the afternoon of April 5, 2012, near the used automobile market. The police took her to the Sartu District Detention Center to be held for two weeks. When her family went to pick her up after the two-week detention, they were told that Ms. Dong had been sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center on April 25.
Ms. Yin, in her 70s, and Ms. Zhang from the Longfeng District were arrested at 9:00 a.m. on April 26, 2012, as they were distributing truth clarification CDs in the Aolong Residential Area in the Longfeng District. They have since been released.
Mr. Zhang Xingye, a former employee at the Daqing No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant, was sentenced to a ten-year prison term. His term was due to expire on April 18, 2012. When his family went to pick him up, they were told that Mr. Zhang had been sent to the Yichun “Law Study Class,” a brainwashing center, in the middle of the night on April 18. Those participating in persecuting Mr. Zhang included Sin Hongbo from the “Stability Office” of the No. 3 Oil Extraction Plant, who colluded with officers from the Domestic Security Division.
Liu Xiping, head of the Daqing Petroleum Company 610 Office, also participated. When Mr. Zhang's family found those responsible to demand Mr. Zhang's release, they replied, “We were following instructions from the provincial 610 Office.”
Ms. Wang Yuru, Ms. Wang Yumei, and Ms. Gao Jifang from Lindian County were arrested on April 26, 2012, as they were speaking with people about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. They were taken to the Lindian County Detention Center.
Ms. Li Junying, who retired from the Oil Extraction No. 1 Plant, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on May 23, 2012, as she was driving to Beifang Market. Staff from the Oil Extraction No. 1 Plant Stability Office intercepted her and took her to the Wuchang Brainwashing Center. Her car was seized.
Ms. Xing Yuzhen and Mr. Feng Xikui were arrested by officers from the Huizhan Police Department in the Sartu District on June 12, 2012.
Officer Zhang Yuying from the Stability Office of the Chuangye Property Branch Company called Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hou Yayu's husband from Chuangyezhuang on the afternoon of June 14, 2012. She said that they were planning to send Ms. Hou to the Suihua Brainwashing Center.
The police followed several practitioners from Taikang County who helped install satellite dishes for the NTDTV network in the countryside on June 18, 2012. Some of the practitioners managed to escape, but elderly practitioner, Ms. Zhu Wenqing, and another practitioner were taken to the Talaha Police Station and later released. Before releasing Ms. Zhu, police officers Ma Baigang, Zhao Yanbo, and others ransacked her home at around 8:00 p.m. and took two small satellite dishes.
That same night, police officers Lin Jiawei, Ma Baigang, and others broke into Ms. Fu Chenghua's home. They took a laptop, 3,000 yuan in currency bills with truth clarification messages written on them, and a satellite dish, and arrested Ms. Fu. They took her to the Daqing No. 1 Detention Center the next day.
Five practitioners from the Longfeng District, including Zhao Rongjie, Ms. Qu Yanyan and her daughter, Zhang Shouxian, Zhang Shoushan, and Qu Hui, returned from speaking with people about Falun Gong on the morning of June 20, 2012. They came across Mr. Ma Xiquan and his wife, Ms. Wang Yuhong, along the way. At the time, more than a dozen police officers suddenly appeared and arrested the seven practitioners. Ms. Wang Yuhong and Mr. Zhang Shoushan were released the same afternoon. Zhao Rongjie developed symptoms of severe illness, and was taken home in an ambulance. Ms. Qu Yanyan is currently in the Daqing No. 1 Detention Center. Zhang Shouxian, Qu Hui, and Ma Xiquan are in the Daqing City Detention Center and the Longfeng Detention Center.
Taikang County Domestic Security Division officers arrested Ms. Kang Guilan at around 6:00 a.m. on June 21, 2012, and took her to the Daodong Detention Center. Police officers Ma Maigang, Zhao Yanbo, and others took two satellite dishes from her home.

Officers from the Wolitun Police Station and the Neighborhood Committee in the Longfeng District arrested Liu Fenglin and his wife, Ms. Chuai Jie, on June 25, 2012, and took them to the Longfeng Brainwashing Center.
Ms. Cui Hongxia was arrested at her home at 1:00 p.m. on June 27, 2012, and taken to the Longfeng Brainwashing Center. Officers from the Longfeng Police Department, the Petrochemical Plant 610 Office, the Wolitun Police Station, and the Neighborhood Committee participated in the arrest.
A staff member from the Petrochemical Plant went to where Ms. Cui Hongxia's son, Mr. Zhang Wei, worked at 10:00 a.m. that same day, threatening him not to make phone calls to his home.
Liu Xiping, Daqing Oil Field Company 610 Office head, arrested Ms. Yu on the morning of June 28, 2012. On the way to the Wuchang Brainwashing Center, Ms. Yu began having convulsions. She is now being treated in Longnan Hospital.
Zhaoyuan County Political and Legal Committee officers colluded with the Xinzhan Town government and attempted to arrest and send five practitioners to a brainwashing center. The police went to Ms. Liu Hui's home to harass her on the morning of June 28, 2012.
