Additional Persecution News from China – June 27, 2012 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qu Wancheng and His Wife Arrested

Officers from the Xinzhan Police Station broke into Mr. Qu Wancheng’s home on the evening of June 18, 2012. They harassed Mr. Qu and his wife and then took the couple into custody.

2. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Shulin Detained and Beaten

Mr. Wang Shulin was incarcerated in the Dezhou City Detention Center for 17 days and subjected to severe beatings.

3. [Bazhong City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Bazhong City Domestic Security Division officers followed and arrested Mr. Deng Xingru (in his 80s), Mr. Yang Lianzong, Ms. Gou Jufen and Xiao Ye around June 15, 2012. The officers also ransacked the practitioners' homes.

Ms. Peng Huaying and another practitioner were taken into custody on the afternoon of May 14, 2012.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Junzhi Arrested

Ms. Zhang Junzhi from Hongfusi Village was recently arrested.

5. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Shuzhen Detained in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Shuzhen was arrested on June 8, 2012, by officers from the Songyuan Police Station. She is currently detained in the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zijiang and Mr. Wang Jiufu Detained

Mr. Wang Zijiang and Mr. Wang Jiufu from Wangguanying Town, Fengrun District, were arrested when they distributed Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on June 23, 2012. They were first sent to the Huoshiying Police Station and then transferred to the Fengrun Detention Ceter.

7. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Mr. Li Fubin Arrested

Mr. Li Fubin, 74, was arrested at home on the afternoon of June 21, 2012, by officers from the Domestic Security Division. The police subsequently ransacked his home.

8. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Xinggui Detained

Tuanjie Police Station officers arrested Mr. Wang Xinggui on the evening of June 24, 2012, when he distributed software that can break through the communist regime’s Great Firewall. Mr. Wang was sent to the Changliu Detention Center the next morning.

9. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] At Least 10 Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zheng Cuifang was arrested at the Nantong Train Station on June 3, 2012. She managed to escape a week later. However, she was arrested again at a practitioner’s home on June 12, 2012. It was learned that 10 practitioners were recently taken into custody. Many of them were detained in the Jinjiang Garden Hotel. Ms. Zheng Cuifang and Mr. Wang Shengshu were incarcerated in the Luhongzha Detention Center.

10. [Qionglai City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Zhiming Forced to Leave Home to Avoid Arrest

Mr. Li Zhiming, a 70 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Datong Village in Qionglai, has been homeless for nearly 2 months, as he was forced to leave home to avoid getting arrested. Around noon on April 30, 2012, approximately 10 agents from the Xijiao Police Station and the Datong Village government went to Mr. Li's home seeking to arrest him. Mr. Li was not home at the time. The officials confiscated a computer and a printer from his home.
