Additional Persecution News from China – May 31, 2012 (26 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 31 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Qi Xiuchun was chased and seized by police officers for hanging Falun Dafa banners near the Weihai Vocational College on May 12, 2012. She is being held in the Weihai Detention Center.

2. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Guifen's Leg Broken by Meng Xianqiu, a Prisoner Instigated by Officers in the Masanjia Women's Prison.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Arrested

Ms. Wang Chunyan was arrested by police assistants Huang Zhiyi and Gao Wansheng when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials on May 29, 2012. Ms. Wang is being held in the Dafangshen Police Station. Her house was ransacked.

Mr. Yan Po, around 50, was reported to the police and arrested on May 25, 2012, by Wang Hongkui, chief of the Bayuquan Domestic Security Division. Mr. Yan's house was ransacked and he is being held in Bayuquan Detention Center.

Ms. Lin Lifang and Ms. Zeng Hui were arrested by officers from the local Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on May 28, 2012. A computer and other items were confiscated from Ms. Lin's home. The practitioners are being held in the Jiaoling County Detention Center.

Mr. Li Zhenfeng and another practitioner were arrested for distributing truth-clarification materials by officers from Qixia Criminal Police Brigade on the evening of May 28, 2012. They were released later and returned home.

9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Baoqing and Two Other Practitioners Arrested on May 24, 2012

10. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhang Yuerong and Ms. Zhou Zhongcui on Hunger Strikes in a Detention Center to Protest Persecution

The elderly Mr. Zhang Yeurong and Ms. Zhou Zhongcui were arrested for distributing Shen Yun DVDs on May 23, 2012. Their homes were ransacked. They are being held in Fuyang Detention Center and are holding hunger strikes in protest of the persecution.

11. [Jixi City, Helongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Qi and Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Qi was arrested while working on May 29, 2012. Ms. Cheng Wenting, Mr. Zao Bin, Mr. Gu Aimin, Mr. Guo Changyu, and Mr. Li Jinpeng were arrested on the same day.

12. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shi Wenzhuo Arrested

Mr. Shi Wenzhuo was arrested by Dong Ping, a police officer from Jiutai Domestic Security Division, for distributing Shen Yun DVDs on May 30, 2012. His house was ransacked and he is being held in Jiutai City Detention Center.

14. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Ji and Son, Mr. Liu Fengyu, Arrested

Mr. Liu Ji and his son, Mr. Liu Fengyu, were arrested at home by officers from Xiyang County Police Station and County Government on May 29, 2012.

Ms. Yi Fang and Ms. Su Jing were arrested by officers from Wucai Police Station on the afternoon of May 25, 2012. Ms. Fang's house was ransacked, and a computer, a printer, and Falun Dafa books were confiscated. They are being held in the Jinnan Road Drug Rehabilitation Center.

18. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xingwen Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xingwen was arrested at home by officer Wang Zhiwei with the Quanzhuang County Police Station and Liu Hongqi from the Comprehensive Management Office on May 28, 2012. He is being held in Yishui Detention Center.

19. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Longlong Arrested

Mr. Zhang Longlong and his wife, who is not a practitioner, were arrested at home by Xu Jiajing and other officers from Linjing Township Police Station on May 29, 2012. His wife was released after paying 3,000 yuan. Mr. Zhang is still being held.

21. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Ji Jian Arrested by Hongqiao Police Station

Mr. Ji Jian was talking to people about Falun Dafa and distributing Dafa materials when he was arrested by officers from Hongqiao Police Station on May 28. A computer and Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

22. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Qun Arrested

Mr. Su Qun, 52, employed at the Changle County Clothing Factory, was arrested on May 28, 2012, by agents from the Changle 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division. Her house was ransacked and a CD burner, a computer, discs, Falun Dafa books, etc., were confiscated. She has been transferred to Weifang City.

23. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Cuiying and Ms. Zhang Runlian Arrested

Ms. Wang Cuiying and Ms. Zhang Runlian were arrested by plainclothes officers from Wanbolin Police Department and Xiaojingyu Police Station for talking to people about Falun Dafa on May 27, 2012. Their homes were ransacked.

24. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Fengxiu's House Ransacked on May 30, Falun Dafa Books and Materials Confiscated.

25. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wen Changping and His Wife, Ms. Shi Liangping, Arrested, Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wen Changping and wife, Ms. Shi Liangping, were arrested and taken to to Pengzhou City 610 Brainwashing Center on May 30, 2012. Mr. Wen was released because he did not pass the physical. Ms. Shi is still being held.

26. [Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province ] Ms. Wu Congmei Arrested

Ms. Wu Congmei, 70, was arrested at home by officers from the Huili County Domestic Security Division on May 29, 2012. Her house was ransacked and Falun Dafa books and truth-clarification materials were confiscated. Her whereabouts are unknown.
