(Minghui.org) My son had a persistent sore throat in May 2007. It didn't improve, even with medication. My daughter-in-law finally had to take him to the local hospital. The doctor told them that he had laryngeal cancer. They could not help crying after hearing this unexpected bad news. My son was only in his thirties, and he had now been diagnosed with this fatal illness. I know that this happened because of his wrongdoing, which I will explain below.
In April 2007, I was telling a person in my home the facts about Falun Dafa and asked him to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). My son was disturbed by this and wanted to take my Dafa music and tape recorder to the local government and police station. Also, he said that he didn’t want to see me again, even if I was dying in jail. His brother-in-law stopped him from reporting me, but he said something bad about Falun Dafa and Master. Several days later, he had a sore throat, which was later diagnosed as laryngeal cancer.
My son had been misinformed by the lies spread by the CCP. After dinner, I told him that Falun Dafa practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and try to be good people, that Falun Dafa can help people improve their moral character and health, and that it benefits countries, societies, families, and individuals. Before I practiced Falun Dafa, I spent a lot of money on medicines, but I still suffered from gastritis, gastric cancer, cholecystitis, headaches, and weight loss. Since beginning my Falun Dafa practice in 1997, I haven’t spent a penny on medicine, and all my previous sicknesses are gone. My son's illness occurred after defaming Falun Dafa and he would now have to make a choice to save himself.
My son regretted what he did. During the persecution of Dafa, he believed the Party's lies. He was not able to distinguish what was righteous from evil, or good from bad. Fear and selfishness made him betray his mother. My son formally stated that all his previous defamation of Dafa was invalid, and he now believes that Dafa is great. He also quit the CCP.
My daughter-in-law took my son to Huaxi Hospital in Chengdu the next day. The doctor told them that my son only had a sore throat, and it wasn't a big deal. My son literally jumped for joy. He now truly understands why his mother and so many other practitioners keep clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. He knows why they distribute informational materials despite the threat of being arrested, detained, fined, sentenced to forced labor, tortured, being separated from their families, and so on.
My son has since helped me to clarify the truth and encourage people to quit the CCP. Sometimes he helps me pack the materials and always reminds me to be careful with them. The change in my son's attitude toward Dafa changed his life. Retribution is a universal principle. Good will be rewarded with good, and evil will beget retribution. I hope that all sentient beings see through by the CCP lies. Following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and quitting the CCP will bring rewards.
