(Minghui.org) Mr. Yu Xichun is from Wafangdian, Dalian. Dafangsheng Police Station officers in Dalian arrested him on June 25, 2012. The reason for his arrest was unfounded.
Practicing Falun Gong Changed Mr. Yu Xichun
In primary school, Yu was mischievous. He stole other students' belongings and was once held in a Juvenile Detention Center. From the age of 18 to 37, he was sentenced five times for being a thief. During that time, his behavior never improved.
He was caught stealing in 2005 and sentenced to two years in prison. He was detained in a Dalian Detention Center. Because of his past, the guards used him to monitor Falun Gong practitioners who were being illegally held in the center. After he came in contact with practitioners, he was moved by their kindness. Contrary to the authorities' expectation, he realized how a human being should live and that good will be rewarded, and evil will be punished. He came to understand the evilness of the Chinese Communist Party and he himself began to practice Falun Gong. He lives his life according to Falun Gong's principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. He tries to be good and he works hard. Now he respects his parents and is ready to help anyone. His parents were once disappointed in him, but now they have hope. They came to know the goodness of Dafa.
Arrested for Clarifying the Truth
On June 25, Mr. Yu learned that Falun Gong practitioners had been arrested by Dafangsheng Police because of their belief. He went to the police station, where he explained to the officers the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and the evilness of the Chinese Communist Party, using his own experiences. He knew that practitioners should not be arrested for being good and tried to convey that thought to the police. He explained how good is rewarded and evil will be punished, and they must not follow the wicked CCP. He had hoped the police would change their evil behavior, be responsible to themselves and their families, and not side with the CCP.
However, the police arrested him and held him at the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian, charged with “endangering national security.” His mother went to the police station and explained to them that they had arrested her son wrongfully. She hoped they would listen to reason and release him. They told his mother that they would not release him because he had committed a crime—“endangering national security.” They discouraged her from returning to the police station.
Another Falun Gong practitioner, female, was detained as well. She is currently in the Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center
