Mr. Ma Honghui and Other Practitioners from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Detained for Over a Month

(Minghui.org) Mr. Ma Honghui, Ms. Zheng Guizhi, and Ms. Zhao Chunxia, all Falun Gong practitioners from Bairin Left Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, have been detained for more than a month. Their families have asked many times that the Bairin Left Banner Domestic Security Division release them, but the division has never complied. According to a source inside the police department, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the 610 Office, and the Domestic Security Division have attempted to persecute the practitioners more severely.

Gao Yanguo from the Bairin Left Banner 610 Office, in collusion with police officers from the Domestic Security Division, including Tian Licheng, Li Hongzhu, and Gao Shujun, broke into Mr. Ma Honghui's home around 6:00 p.m. on June 3, 2012, and arrested Mr. Ma, his wife Ms. Zheng Guizhi, and an elementary school teacher Mr. Lu, who was visiting the couple. The police then ransacked the home, confiscating a computer and a printer—among other personal items— worth 12,000 yuan (~$1881 USD).

They broke into Ms. Zhao Chunxia's home the next morning and arrested Ms. Zhao Chunxia and her sister, Ms. Zhao Fuxia. They then ransacked her home and confiscated 14,000 yuan in cash (~$2195 USD), and many personal items, valued at more than 20,000 yuan (~$3135 USD). Ms. Zhao Fuxia was released that night.

Ms. Zhao Chunxia's husband, Mr. Jia Bin, was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution, leaving their 12-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son at home with the grandparents. The children's grandparents are in their 70s and have to pick up and drop off the grandchildren from their school. The grandparents own a small business and are not well off. Mr. Bin's eldest daughter attends college, but hasn't collected enough tuition for the upcoming semester.

Mr. Ma Honghui and Ms. Zheng Guizhi's son is also at college now, but their daughter has been home alone since they were arrested.
